Completely serious question. What were you expecting based on Bungies previous work?

Every single Halo multi-player evolved into more power ups, loadouts etc etc. To me this fell right in line with their previous work as it only continued to add more things to the mix.

PvP is what it is. It's never going to be a conventional fps. It's always going to by face paced, high action arcade - like games that are dominated by power ups and BS kills. That's part of the reason I enjoy it so much is it isn't like every other game, and I love everything from Battlefield to Rising Storm. Lots of hate on here for PvP, but OS has always seemed to gravitate towards single play experience.

It does help to be decent though. Rolled 4 deep the other night. Lost our 1st match at the last second and won the next 14 straight. Not a bad night going 14-1.

Edit: I'm not implying the people who don't like PvP are not good at it with that last paragraph. Was more of a statement showing how much fun and rewarding it can be playing with a group of people, not only in PvE, but in PvP also.

Had my best weekend so far as gear/weapons go, as I acquired my first exotics. Me and my regular strike team which consists of myself (27 Titan-Defender), my brother (28 Titan-Striker), and a friend of his(28 Warlock) finally completed our first Nightfall strike and it was well worth it. My brother had talked to Boltman earlier, and he gave us some strategy tips. Big thanks to Boltman.

When we finished the Nightfall-strike, I was shocked to see that I had received the Auto rifle Hardlight as my reward. This thing is a beast, especially at short-medium range. It really lays down the lead. The recoil is bad when you first get it, but there is a stability upgrade for it that is going to make it just sweet, when I level up to it. Took it into PVP for a few matches, and I can see good times ahead. I need all the help I can get, as I suck at PVP. lol

Hardlight


Behind Hardlight, my next favorite exotic I got was the Helm of Saint-14 from Xur. Hated the look at first of it, but once I saw the upgrade called "Starless Night", it grew on my. lol It is perfect for a Defender, as it makes anyone who enters your bubble... go blind. Once they enter, they cover their eyes with their arms and can do nothing. They are at your mercy. Works great in PVE, and I can't wait to test this ability out in PVP. Also picked up the pulse rife Red Death from Xur. I find myself going to it in certain situations. The upgrade on it called Red Death makes it worth it, if you use pulse rifles. Each kill heals you and speeds up reloads. The default reload speed is slow.

Also picked up the Exotic Hunter Helm called Dustwalker for my future Hunter. Got my first exotic weapon bounty this weekend as well. Was playing early/late Saturdy night/Sunday morning and was turning in some bounties when my 3 choices popped up. Before picking one I did some reading and decided to go for the Machine Gun - Super Good Advice ( I love using machines guns). I was tired but I looked at the clock and knew Xur was going to be leaving soon. So I went to orbit and headed to Mars to search for chests. Forgot how long it took, but I finally found it. Headed back to the tower to give the item to Xur, and wouldn't you know it... he had already skipped town. I'm ready for him though when he comes back this weekend.

We haven't gotten to run VoG yet, but desperately want to. Just hard to find 3 more players and coordinate a time. We are looking to try it this weekend, if anyone would be interested in joining us, post in this thread or send a friends request on PS4. Just let me know you are from OS. We all have Pulse Golds (The only way to play this game is with friends and have comms).

Getting pretty frustrated with this game. Grind for hours to hopefully get a decent primary but never do, I just need to get a primary weapon that is decent, I have yet to find anything reliable since I was a lvl 20. I just played with a guy who has 8 exotic guns and I have 1, he also has only played this game 2 hours longer. Pretty much it comes down to getting lucky with a drop of two , not having a primary weapon to rely makes this game impossible at the higher levels.
