Bungie says they will add a level 30 tier to the daily, weekly, nightfall.

Patch goes in.

Daily goes to level 30, rewards stay the same as level 28.

30 is the new 28. They didn't add a tier with more rewards, they simply upped the old tiers (20/24/28 to 20/26/30). That's why the rewards are the same. Unfortunate, but pretty much standard for this game. I would certainly have preferred just adding a new tier, but I guess they figure with the new gear it is easier to level up now, so that's how it went.

I'm guessing this means the Nightfall will be Level 30 only and not two-tiered with better rewards.

I was hoping the nightfall would be lvl 32.

Similarly and on that note, I was hoping Lightswitch would be included in all dailies, weeklies, nightfalls.

That's just.....well, stupid. Some strange design decisions happening lately.

Anyways, had a fruitless couple of raids this morning. Finished up the hard raid with my Warlock from the gatekeepers in about 10 minutes, and just got the ship and Atheon's Epilogue. I'd have been more excited about the Epilogue BEFORE the news about level 323 weapons, but it's still cool. Still no chest or head piece, so I'm still sitting at 29.

Then ran it for the first time with my 29 Titan and got nothing but shards, energies, and the Chatterwhite again. Well, I DID get the Gjallarhorn for the second time, so I guess I atleast got an exotic shard out of it. Kind of miffed I didn't even get one piece of gear, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
