Re: Ace Combat 7

Well it looks like we may finally hear when it's releasing as they're going to be at Gamescom next month. Interesting take on the 2019 chronology of the fictitious world and to not take that as an actual release timeline. Can't wait to fly this in VR.

We know that Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is going to appear at Gamescom where Bandai Namco is likely to announce a release date for the game. In preparation for the new reveal, the publisher opened a brand new official website for the game.

I think Bandai Namco will announce a 2018 holiday season release during Gamescom.

Gamescom trailer with the release date of January 18th, 2019. It's looking good.

Re: Ace Combat 7

You guys couldn't have released this 3 weeks earlier so some of us could have had a shiny new toy under the tree? So instead, you have it released right between RE2 and KH3?

Fire that marketing manager who made that decision!

Re: Ace Combat 7

Very strange silence after a reveal date at Gamescom. Hearing nor seeing nothing new with this game. Grant it all their trailers have been nice but I was hoping to hear more about the game's frame rate performances and with the number of vr missions. Has anyone seen any news? No new vr footage at Gamescom?

All we still have is the last 2017 experiences?!?

Digital Foundry did as usual, an exceptional report back in 2017 with the game's First Look, Tech Analysis, and Frame-Rate Test. It's runs about 9 mins long but informative.

Hollie Bennett's vr experience got us wanting and waiting back in 2017.

For those who are unfamiliar with the game or missions you'll partake in, here's a simple look at a gameplay - Mission 7 Walkthrough by DualShockers jumping into a Mitsubishi F-2

Re: Ace Combat 7

With just about a month to go, here's some info regarding the multi-player mode;

Quote:
In Ace Combat 7’s multiplayer you can use MRP (Military Result Points) in the Aircraft Tree to unlock planes, parts, and special weapons. Some of those parts can only be used in multiplayer and can be used to customize your warbird. You can also use emblems and skins that you unlocked in single player.

In the battle royale mode, eight players will compete for the highest score. It’s a free-for-all mode, and if you destroy the AI aces flying around the map you can get a bonus.

Team deathmatch is four vs. four. Your team accrues points by shooting down enemy aircraft or dealing damage. When a team reaches a set amount of points, they win.

Players who score high will receive from one to three stars. The more stars you have, the more points you award if you get shot down. You can decide whether to take a risk by attacking capable pilots or play it safe by steering clear from them.

The weather conditions that can be found in single player are also active in Ace Combat 7’s multiplayer, including rain, lightning strikes, and currents.
