As I was expecting, GOD OF WAR won TGA's 2018 GAME OF THE YEAR last night. I'm personally very happy. An amazing game that everyone should play through at least once in my opinion.

Unless the Video game award for voice acting was only for the lead character, Jeremy Davies not getting nominated feels so wrong.

Bought God of War (along with Far Cry 5 & Red Dead Redemption 2) on the Black Friday deal Playstation Network was doing and man, this game is great. Of the three, I easily prefer this one over the others. I've spent most of the last few months playing Spider-Man, but God of War cut way into that game, as well.

The story was amazing and I can't wait to go back and visit the other realms and go after a lot of the side missions and such.

Finally got around to completing the main story of this game and I must say I wasn’t disappointed. Played all the God of War games and this one was great. Loved the story and the combat. Great job Santa Monica Studios. Looking forward to doing more of the favors and fighting the valkeries.

I bought myself this game when it was on sale for Black Friday and waited until Christmas to begin playing.

I must say, I don't see why it's so critically acclaimed as game of the year.

It's beautiful, but the combat feels like a bland grind: block, roll, throw the hammer, press R1 or R2 and repeat. What am I missing? The combat feels wonky and stale, particularly with standard enemies.
