Re: Crusader Kings 3

So I decided to just get it yesterday and I spent about 5 minutes being totally confused by the new layout. Will try to get into it this weekend maybe. I’m still having fun with 2 though, so who knows

The fact that they have over 100 mods for this game already is crazy.

Is it any easier to get started than 2. I got overwhelmed pretty quick and could never get the troop and sea stuff to work even following the tutorial. I mean I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I just couldn’t get anywhere. Love the concept of the game and want to get into it

It’s a Paradox game so no. You learn by failing for the first 100 or so hours while learning a new piece of the game each time. You should also find YouTube videos by people that break down different concepts. It’s always an investment but worth it when it clicks.

Re: Crusader Kings 3

I've been playing this through Xbox Game Pass for PC. I started with the tutorial and I still have very little idea of what's going on. I love the concept of dealing with people rather than nations (like Civilization) and having a court with a cast of characters.

Sure can be frustrating at times. I got a message that one of my regions lacked sheriffs. I have no idea how to get sheriffs. I used the in-game encyclopedia to look up sheriffs and nothing came up.

Don't know if it will have a long term appeal to me because I like games with scores or a definitive story ending (ie. you beat all the bad guys).

I have no idea what happens at the end and I couldn't find anything on the internet that explains it. Is there a score? A Hall of Fame? A look back at all the decisions you made? I realize these are Civilization concepts but that's the strategy game I'm most familiar with. I realize Paradox games are much different and more in-depth.

Still having fun with it.

Re: Crusader Kings 3

So how does game pass work with this? If you download can you keep forever or is it tied to when game pass drops it?
