Good times eh Rude?

P.S. If you mention that garbage Steve Thomas goal where you ran over my goalie to score the winning goal in game 7 I'm going to dump gasoline on your lawn.
Let's never forget the epic round robin tournament with about 6 guys in our basement that I won. My classic dump and grind style of play was tremendous. Chicago was a perfect fit for my style of play.

And that goal was one of the best goals ever! I never ran over the goalie either. I shot it from the blue line and hit the defeneman in the head. For some reason I think that was Domi. He wobbled and the puck trickled towards the slot where I blasted a slap shot past the goalie on the right hand side. It hit the post and trickled across the crease where I scooped it up and fired it home. Beauty!!! Here's a picture for you to help with that memory.

This was a great time. A time where you could just enjoy a game for what it is - a game. Not endless adjusting sliders, and longing for patches that would never come. I miss those days.

My childhood was Tecmo 3. Creating players, runnng a season, awesome...

Until my cousin reset the console while I was simming. Deleted all my hard work. Lol.

That's a pretty huge deal when you're 7.

Wondering this myself........ I got to play 95 for SNES and Genesis, and 93 on SNES, but somehow i never got my hands on 94 for either system. What's the difference between NHL 95 and the legendary NHL 94?

NHL 95 was actually a huge step back for the series.

The goalie AI got messed up to the point that you could score a goal literally every time down the ice with a simple forehand/backhand deke.

Re: OS Roundtable: Best 16-bit Sports Game

And for the record, the Genesis versions of EA sports games were almost universally better than their SNES counterparts, reason being, EA had two separate development teams for the two systems, each working on their own version of the game.

Aside from a shared set of features, Madden/NHL/Live etc. were all completely different games back then on the gameplay and presentations fronts depending on which system you were playing them on.
