Agree.

Although when i worked at Roadhouse i found out that wood and charcoal made a better tasting steak. But propane is just so much easier

I like using gas. Charcoal doesn't taste good to me. Never tried the wood chips though.

Wood chips taste good, however the only thing about it is that not all wood chips work with all types of meat in my opinion.

Because other then mesquite, you have apple, cherry wood and some others. So you really got to know what you are doing and it is a trial and error thing to determine what wood flavor taste good with what type of meat.

Propane adds no flavor to the food like charcoal or wood do. Gas grills are ok if you want it fast. Use wood or charcoal if you want it good.

You hit this subject right on. I have been a regular on the grill every weekend for the past 3 years during the spring-summer. I have tried alot and there are certain things that just dont go good together. I love Charcoal and wood together. However, alot of people will smoke meat to long which will dry it out . You must know what wood to use with certain meats and know how long to smoke it.
