My dad (who is a huge Twins fan) totally considers it a rivalry and really can't stand the Brewers... I just don't understand it.

Re: Off Topic 2013

What about unforced rivalries that should be?

I think Detroit & Toronto should be major rivals in any competition. Tigers/Jays, Wings/Leafs, hell give me Pistons/Raptors (someday maybe).

Re: Off Topic 2013

Is it weird that Twins/Brewers could be an answer for both of these questions?

It's not a rivalry at all right now because they're in the AL so who cares?

But if we were hypothetically moved into the same division, well, that could be fun.

Oh absolutely. I actually consider all the AL Central teams to be the Twins' rivals (with the exception of KC. They're just there.) and honestly, I don't know that most would consider the Twins/Indians to be rivals. Tigers and White Sox make sense, mostly because of the huge games they've played in (now less) recent years, but it you switched KC with Milwaukee, I could definitely see that being a legit rivalry in the near future.

Plus Detroit and Chicago are basically rivals in everything. The women on our streets are so much better looking than the women on GMSS's hometown streets

I was speaking more so of Tigers/Twins and White Sox/Twins. But you are right.

Orioles/Nationals is pretty forced. I'd consider the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays rivals before the Nationals.

Nothing forced about it. The fan bases hate each other. It's a rivalry in the stands for sure.
