Rancho Cucamonga Quakes

Or maybe the award for longest name goes to the Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino.

Richmond Flying Squirrels? I've actually seen them play against Akron before.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos
Visalia Rawhide
Clinton LumberKings
Hickory Crawdads is the true winner to me.

Lots of good ones in the lower leagues you guys probably never heard of.
I could never say anything good about the LumberKings.

Yea, you're probably right. Nothing good ever came out of Iowa...

The Birmingham Barons are "so so", but they are playing at the brand new Region's Field downtown and it's really, really nice.

They were playing at the Hoover MET (where the SEC Baseball tournament is held), but it made no sense for them to be so far away from downtown.

In some ways, the South has grown on me though. After 10 years...I'm just starting to take an interest in college football, for example LOL.
I don't mind when it is grey and rainy. It was like that almost everyday my last fall in Akron. They'd also complain when it was too hot, but sometimes it was justified; humidity there could get really terrible.

I know about the moving for a wife. My girlfriend is in Colorado and keeps trying to get me to move out there sooner, but I go wherever I get a job so that's how that goes.

And it took that long for you to get into college football??? And you even had UW before. That's just... disappointing. But you are catching on at least! Hopefully not catching on to the Rebels, though. Disgusting, foul creatures.

Actually.. I may buy some Baron's tickets right now.. lol.

Tonight sounds like as good of a time as any to go. I get off at 5:30, games at 7 and I'm 15 minutes from the stadium.

Maybe I can get someone to meet me if I buy two tickets.

I can't move from the couch. It's just not happening for me.

Re: Off Topic 2013

Three hours of my work day gone and here's what I've accomplished:

1. Purchase phone charger
2. Purchase body wash
3. Purchase Baron's tickets
4. Purchase breakfast

I casually followed the Dawgs forever...loved the Rose Bowl matchups between UW and Michigan back in the day and booed the Cougs in the Apple Cups. But I was only half-hearted about college football as compared to my love for the NFL and the Seahawks.

College football is such a passion point down here. College logos adorn so many vehicles, along with the car window flags flappin away. Lots of shirts/hats/jackets promoting their college of choice. VERY little NFL/MLB/NBA apparel or love in comparison.

In this area, you see lots of love for Memphis Tigers, Alabama, Ole Miss, and some braver souls wear the Tennessee orange but they are fleeting and paranoid LOL. There's even some Gator fans.

I'm even planning on attending my first college game this year and going to a Memphis game with my buddy from work.
