That's always been my biggest gripe. The area never offered enough to make it worth fighting traffic and finding parking. I used to park at the Region's bank.

The new park really is nice.
Rumor here is that's the plan with the Stars here. They have a signed stadium lease up til the '15 season, so they arent going anywhere until then. But, the city has been in talks with planning a new stadium to keep the team and they would put it downtown close to the VBCC. The whole downtown area has had a major facelift and there are a ton of new bars and dinning places. Also helped that they changed the law here and made it to where you can walk around with open containers in the downtown district.
