Man, I remember when you were just building that house. Time truly does fly.

Good luck with the sale, very strange market out there today.

Man I just had a DWI case "beat" because...I'm not even sure why. Guy rear ends a lady at 6am. He has red eyes and slurred speech. He fails some tests on side of road. Blood is a .10. He was only person in car.

Defense attorney argues that:
Red eyes from powder from air bags
Slurred speech due to having a cut on lip from crash
The 5 drinks he said he had were too far in past
Officer who performed the field tests looked at his notes and the attorney kept pointing that out like it's an honesty thing
I was asked was color the person drawing the blood was wearing..hint: I didn't remember

There was some issue with the blood, we were sequestered so I don't think it was permissible in court. Therefore with the rest it was all thrown out.

Not guilty verdict

That's the legal system which is why I'm biased against it favoring criminals as opposed to innocent people thrown in prison to rot.

I could give you example after example of similar situations.

I just stopped caring about my job. I treat everyone with respect and don't even care about arresting people. Why should I? I will if it's right in front of me but I'm not going out there and stirring things up. I'm already viewed in such a negative light people won't believe me anyways.
Another example that I read about in the news recently. I forget the exact details, but a guy was awaiting trial for something (I think it was a sex offense) and kept asking for extensions (or what ever they're called) to delay the trial then suddenly decided to invoke his right to a speedy trial and because he'd asked for so many extensions and so much time had passed, the case was dismissed because he didn't get a speedy trial. Now if you ask me, asking for extensions should waive the right to speedy trial or at least reset the time limit to when the extension was granted. I guess it just comes down to having really good (or maybe that's not the most appropriate term) defense lawyers who know how to game the system.

Lucky you. That type of house here would run you a minimum of $1.7 mil.

I just wanted to say I believe the majority of people appreciate your sacrifice, it's too bad the majority is far too silent on the issue. I know I appreciate you and your brothers sacrifice. Stay safe and thanks again.

Been in the works for a while, but a new job that materialized out of nowhere really has become a reality. Moving from an accounting manager for the County here to heading up the finance office at a community college. Pretty excited about the move. Start on June 3rd!

re: Off-Topic

So I woke up this morning to see that my cat puked on and inside my brand new Under Armour sneakers. I was livid. God forbid the cat ever pukes on the kitchen tile which is easy cleanup. Nope. Always has to be carpet. Ugh.
