Espn and SEC network have reported that True freshman Reggie Turner will be the opening day starter for the Bulldogs. Turner was the top ranked QB recruit in last year recruiting class.

Re: Georgia.Rivals.SEC

The Georgia Bulldog's welcomed the 20th ranked Arkansas Razorbacks yesterday, as they kicked off the start of a new season. Georgia has 13 new starters this year, 7 on offense and 6 on defense.

The most important new starter this year for the Bulldogs is Reggie Turner. The freshman QB played well in the game. Turner finished the game 19/23 for 253 yards and 3 td's with no turnovers. After sitting behind Nick Chubb for the past 3 season, Charles Beverly made his first start too. Beverly ended the game with 138 yards and 2 td's on only 15 carries. Beverly was pulled from the game 2 min's into the 3rd, so his back up Jerome Cox could get some touches. Georgia best player on offense is WR Leon Garcia. The 2 time winner of the Biletnikoff award and the nations best WR had 8 rec for 124 yards and 1 td.

The defense played well for starting an all new D-line. Georgia's lead by 4 all-american's on defense. Richard Tate their starting MLB and winner of the best linebacker award last year had only 7 tackles. Georgia's DB's held Arkansas to only 150 yards passing.

In the end Arkansas just couldn't stop Georgia's high powered offense. The Bulldogs win 56-16.

Re: Georgia.Rivals.SEC

Georgia landed their first recruits of the year this week. The Bulldogs got a pair of high school teammates out of Bainbridge, GA, Calvin Cook and Randall Walker. Cook is a 5* recruit and the #1 WR in this years class and should see playing time next year. His high school 4* QB will be joining him in Athens. Walker is a pure pocket passing QB and is the 6th ranked QB. The last recruit Georgia got on offense is C.J Page. Page is a 4*, 20th ranked WR and is out of Brea, CA. We see Page being RS next year.

Georgia also got 2 recruits on the defensive side of the ball. Ryan Miller is a 5*,#1 ranked OLB out of Glenview,IL. The second defensive player to sign with the Bulldogs is Andy Fagan. Fagan is the 9th ranked CB and is coming to Georgia out of Texas. Fagan will see playing time next year, with 3 SR CB's on the Bulldogs roster.

Re: Georgia.Rivals.SEC

Georgia picked up 7 more recruits this week. The Bullldogs had 10 recruits in for visit's last weekend, when they hosted Vandy. Georgia added depth to their O-line with the signings of Brian Jackson and Brandon McCray. Jack is the #9 T out of Laurens, SC. McCray is the #35 ranked G from Garden city,GA. Jackson could see playing time next year, while McCray will be RS. Georgia also added 2 players in the backfield with Avery Jones and Rashad Gardner. Jones is the #2 FB in this years class, out of Fitzgerald, GA. Jones will start right away. Gardner is the #8 HB out of Gaffney, SC. Gardner has some speed and should start as a returner on special teams next year. The Bulldogs also added depth at TE with the signing of #16 TE Brian Burton. Burton is from Rosenberg, TX.

The last 2 recruit Georgia signed both play on defense. Ken Kelly is the #5 CB, out of New port Richey, FL. Kelly will be Georgia dime CB next year. Steven Flowers is the #12 DE out of Eden, NC. Flowers will most likely be RS next year but if some upperclassmen go pro, he will see the field.

Georgia's recruiting is almost done for the year with only 4 players still on their recruiting board.

Re: Georgia.Rivals.SEC

Georgia fans said goodbye to Leon Garcia today. Garcia is a 3-time winner of the Biletnikoff award. He ends his career at Georgia as the best WR in the SEC and the country for the past 3 years. Garcia broke every Georgia receiving record and he also broke the NCAA record for receiving yards and touchdowns for a career.

Garcia ends his career at Georgia with 343 catches, 5640 yards and 68 Td's. Most NFL scouts agree he will be a top 10 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
