Georgia strikes first to start the 2nd with an easy 1 yd run by Wade. Auburn stalls again after a 2 minute drive that comes up empty. Georgia looks to take a 2 score lead but their 3 minute drive ends at midfield and they have to punt it back with 2:20 left in the half. Auburn starts their attack and Talley gets stripped on a scramble but Auburn recovers it. The next play Talley completes a pass and gets another strip but Auburn recovers it again. Missed opportunities by Georgia lead to an Auburn pass on 3rd and 1 in the redzone that couldve been tipped but my hands didnt go up. 7-7 at the half.

Georgia gets the ball to start the half and changes up the tempo with no huddle. The speed itself doesnt affect Auburn much but spreading them out helps Bennett get going with 4 catches on the 4:30 minute drive. Wade caps it off with his 2nd rushing td to make it 14-7.

Auburn gets their opening drive of the half and for the first time all game the running game is working. Talley gets 2 20+ yard runs and Goodman who comes in for Washington gets a 27yd run before getting tripped up at the 1 only to score the next play and tie it at 14. Georgia goes back to the power run and Wade is in a groove. 2nd and long at the Auburn 25 as Georgia tries to regain the lead to start the 4th.

4th starts with some controversy. On 3rd and long Auburn has a coverage breakdown so I lead the flag route to the endzone but instead Wynn throws it regular sending the WR to the sideline instead of the easy td. Pass is ruled incomplete on 3rd and 8 but the booth reviews it and calls it complete.

2 plays later Wade gets into the endzone for his 3rd rushing td giving Georgia a 21-14 lead and the Auburn fans were pissed.

Auburn starts their drive and get to 4th and 5 at midfield with 4:30 left and they go for it. Talley picks it up to scramble but the DE gets to him for the sack. Georgia has a chance with good field position to seal the game and they get 3 with 1:51 left so the odds are in their favor. Auburn now playing pass only allows Georgia to get in their comfort zone. A sack on the very first play causes a 2nd down spike and it was down hill from there.

Georgia wins 24-14 and goes 13-0. Wade is the player of the game with 3 tds and 130 on the ground but we dont win without Bennett's 9 catches. We'll wait to see if its Ohio State or Michigan State on the other side but this team is ready.

Re: RIVALS LAST RUN 2026-2027

BOWL WEEK

***** GOTW *****
1 GEORGIA vs 2 OHIO STATE

I say it every year and its a great feeling when it happens....... theres nothing better than when the 2 best teams play in the National Championship. College football is a sport that goes off rankings so without a playoff it only takes on slip up to ruin a great championship matchup. Last year was a wacky season with the setting and Ohio State got their first championship since 2014. The problem was along with the settings not being hard enough for the first time in Rivals ever, the Buckeyes were paired against a mid major team and the result was a 52-0 blowout and a waste of time for everybody. This year the challenge was turned back up and every team had to earn their way. This year we are fortunate to get the 2 best teams, the 2 best coaches, and arguably the 2 best players on each side of the ball in Wade who won the Heisman at RB and Smith who won defensive back of the year at FS. These kids will go head to head in a matchup that everyone is anxious to see. These teams matchup well because they are both defensive lead teams with defensive minded coaches. This championship will be a chess match from start to finish and both teams have already won against championship caliber teams this season so they will be prepared. Ohio State beat SDST to open the season, had their only loss the Auburn in a crazy 4th qtr comeback, held Michigan St to 7 points, held Indiana to 6, then closed out with 2 sims without their coach. Georgia put up 42 on Michigan, closed out a tough one against a very good Tennessee team, put 42 on Florida, and gave Auburn both of their only 2 losses all year. Both teams really on the run game first which could favor the Buckeyes on the ground because Georgia hasnt faced an oline this good this season, although theyve faced some great teams. On the other hand if both defenses show up against the run the advantage will go to Georgia with that Wynn to Bennett connect that has flourished this year. The chess match will be intense. Herbstreit is going with Ohio State to repeat as National Champions because theyve done it already, they've been dominant in their last few U5 games, Georgia has not once proved they could finish the job, and the defensive genius of JP is unmatched but NOT SO FAST my friend... Im predicting the Bulldogs to win this one in a tough defensive battle. JP gives Coach Cane the toughest games but this Georgia team has finally put it all together along with having a complete team and theres a reason they're the only undefeated team in college football right now.

Prediction:
GEORGIA 27 OHIO STATE 24

NEXT ADVANCE
Whenever
