Re: 2014: Pre-Season - Regular Season

The season couldn't have started any better for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Losing the coin toss and receiving for the first half, Shaq Roland ran the ball back 104 yards for a TD to open the game.

On the ensueing first Offensive play by ECU, QB Shane Carden gets sacked by the Gamecocks LE Gerald Dixon for a 6 yard loss.

An Interception return for a TD followed in the 2nd quarter by Senior SS Sharrod Golightly.

The Carolina 2nd Team Offense and Defense went into the game mid-way through the 3rd quarter but ECU still couldn't stop them, but at least their offense woke up. At least a little.

It was a great 49-20 win in the season opener. A season with high expectations by the coach, players, and fans in Columbia, SC.

Great game against Virginia Tech. Even with the lead my heart was racing because he was always within reach. Just realized my senior RB is out for the season with a broken collarbone.

Re: 2014: Pre-Season - Regular Season

Defending Champs, #1 Georgia Bulldogs, kicks off the season at home with a top 25 match up against#19 Clemson Tigers. Both teams are coming in with new signal callers due to Aaron Murray and Tahj Boyd entering the NFL draft earlier this year.
The Bulldogs starts the game off with a 103yd kickoff return by sophomore CB Todd Jude. And they never looked back. Avoiding a shutout, The Tigers gets embarrassed by a score of 48-7. The Bulldog defense finished with 3 sacks, 4 interceptions, with one going back for six. Didn't need much from Heisman winner Todd Gurley and the offense today. They're gonna need the rest and a bye week to be ready for conference foe, #8 South Carolina Gamecocks, in week 3.
