Question for those who honestly thinks Live is better than 2k

I played Live 15 today and while it has it's share of issues I can see why people like the game. Typically the biggest knock on 2K is the "canimations" which are more or less absent in Live. Now my issue with Live is that after that initial feeling of responsiveness there are a lot or negatives to find.

I think Live has a great foundation to built on. if they can maintain the feeling of control, improve the overall quality of animations (which can be quite ugly), and just improve the overall basketball intelligence of the game and AI then they can be a real competitor to 2k instead of just being a second option.

Can't wait to see how much Live has improved this year when the demo drops next week. The Live team always talks a good game but the execution doesn't always live up to the hype. We'll see if this is the year they can finally deliver on their high expectations.

i think the canimations might win out over time.
here's why
even though live seems to give users full control the animation quality sucks as we all know. but being a creative, i tend to view it like a flip book. instead of drawing out each motion, mo capping is a much quicker process. 2k adds tons of new animations each year so i think its only a matter of time when the tech arrives that will allow them to take away the puppet strings and everything will feel so organic/real people might not know what to do with themselves.

Live is different and I don't try to compare. For me it's fun factor. Flaws aside for any video game, it should be based on fun factor. If you dig it, then that's what matters. If we have to compare I'd say Live at times can be as fun as 2k and I think it's coming to greatness slowly but surely.

But it's all a matter of perspective. Live has better online imo so that does stand out . Graphics are comparable and Live beats 2k presentation easily.

In the end I'm grateful we have 2 bball games. Both get my attention

When you love sports you manage. I spend more time with sports game than I do any genre. Shooting mechanics is easy being a long time Live player. Premise always been the same. Release athe top of your release

Yea, I can't get into 2K because of this.

Feels way too automated....like I'm playing it half the time and the other half I'm watching animations while having zero control.

If I want something that LOOKS so realistic, I'll just watch the real thing on TV. I want something that's fun to play, first and foremost.
