I play as the MAC linebacker on most plays. However, when i blitz him, I keep getting called for a penalty saying you can not blitz the Jack LB. However, I'm not playing as the Jack LB. When I watch the replay the Jack LB is where he is supposed to be. Is this a flaw in the game or am I not understanding the rules. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a question, are you blitzing him as part of a designed blitz or are you doing it indepenatly of the defensive scheme?

Just bringing him in irregardless of the play...is that why?

Are you making sure that you are blitzing him on the inside of the guards, because you can't blitz outside.

I thought the MAC LB was ALWAYS the one on our right. I didn't realize he can be on right or left. Thats is what I was doing wrong. I thought it went by the positon on the field not the actual player. My bad. Thanks for your help.

this happens to me a lot too...try to control a LB but not sure which one is supposed to be blitzing

i had this problem too, the LBs often switch sides from left to right...so even if your blitz you pick has the left LB blitzing, the guy may not line up on that same side...so just remember the names of your blitz players

I'm pretty sure the Jack LB is on whatever side the Tight End lines up on since his major responsibility is the qb,fb and te.
