Saskatchewan Roughriders are CFL champions

The Riders beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23-19 to win the 95th annual Grey Cup. To celebrate the joyous occasion I created this easy to read coles notes on the Riders, the CFL and Canadian geography.

My favourite part of the game tonight that I forgot to mention in this was the D lineman playing for the Blue Bombers named Tom Canada, who is actually American and played for Cal.

I wish the Riders were the home team. I wanted to see them wear those swank throwbacks.

Nice to see Kent Austin win the big game as a coach in the city where he got unceremoniously dumped out of.

I'm surprised this was the first Grey Cup thread, you're slacking Sportsman.

And even more interesting about Austin was that he was the starting QB in the 89 Riders Grey Cup win in Toronto, and returned to win it as Head Coach.

Toronto did a good job, which many out west thought they wouldn't.

I was thinking of making a thread but i'm not exactly hyped over a Prairie matchup. I wanted to see SSK/TOR as the Grey Cup matchup.

Obviously the rest of Toronto didn't want to see a TO/SSK matchup. This game got almost as much hype in Edmonton and Calgary as an Eskimo appearance. A poll in the paper said 80% of fans were cheering for SSK. We prarie towns stick together.

Werd. Kerry Joseph for Prime Minister. He played like **** but I love him. James Johnson stepped up his GAME.

The funniest part of the game was when Rick Berry, Winnipegs coach, tried challenging a challenge after it had been reversed in Saskatchewans favour and was given a delay of game.
