... Would you give the league an already established history (for example, it's been around for 50 years and has a fictional history of great players, coaches and teams)?

I selected the latter option in the poll, but I'd like to see maybe like a "restarted" league where it has history, but it's also like brand new. (e.g. the new USFL, things like that.)

I voted for the first option. I know me as the consumer wouldn't care about fictional characters and history in a football game. I feel with great gameplay(must have balance on offense and defense), one could make a successful football game with a league started from scratch.

I would want a history with records to break. I also don't want it to be a NFL clone, it could only have 28 teams or 36 etc... I don't need the teams to be in the exact city of an NFL team I wouldn't mind having the Columbus Wreckers or the Springfield Knights.

I voted new upstart league. I prefer online type leagues tho, so for me it would be fun to try establish and/or break other human produced records and such. If it was a league designed more like an offline franchise vs cpu, then I would prefer some kind of records to try to beat as a personal goal to challenge me.

I like the upstart league option. Leaves a lot open for user interpretation and customization.

I voted upstart. It'd be fun to create and be a part of the history and see how the league progresses from the early beginnings and later on.
This kind of gives me an idea...hm...lol.
