Many great mods are available for this version of the game, as it was the last to be released on PC. It also supports wired Xbox 360 controllers.

Some mods are as simple as downloading and running an automated setup program.

Others just require downloading and pasting a new file over an existing one.

It's pretty easy overall.

I bought the darned thing but can't get it to download. It causes all kinds of system resource issues.

Thanks. The downloader doesn't download, either. It just hangs on "finding download". Can't even end process in Task Manager.

Great game, but it seems my controller isn't fully supported. When I had my 360 Controller, the game recognized all the buttons, sticks, triggers, etc. and everything was fine. That ended up crapping the bed so I bought a knock-off 360 controller. Now only one stick is recognized and both back triggers aren't available. Makes the game completely unplayable.
