Is fever worth getting, already got madden 2004.
Bought last years version, bit to arcady 60 yd bombs every possesion.
Is it better than ESPN.

It's not better than espn. I haven't played madden so I don't know anything about that.

I've owned NFL 2k, and 2k1 on Dreamcast. I've owned Madden 2001, Madden 2002, NCAA 2002, and NCAA 2003 on the PS2. I've owned NFL2k3 on the PS2 and it was my favorite last year. This year I've owned ESPN Football and Fever 2004. All are great games otherwise I wouldn't own them, but in my opinion Fever 2004 is my favorite of them all(the Read N Lead passing has a lot to do with it)- MANY WILL DISAGREE - but again that is my opinion.

I won't get into which game is better...I could only speak of the one that I prefer. I don't think that there is a "better" football game. ANYTHING football is all good to me.

I've played the Fever 2003 demo, and I must say the the DB's in 2004 play much tighter and smarter. They are usually in position to stop MOST long pass attempts, but of coarse you can't stop all of them.

I would recommend a rental at least...and because of Fever's apparent lack of popularity, you can pick it up on online auctions for just about $25.00. Not a bad deal at all.

Have they changed the playbooks from 2003, they kinda sucked giving you about one second to choose.
The recommended play was always wrong.

Plays are still very limited. Some plays seem like they are carbon copies of others, they just have different names. There are no team specific plays which is unfortunate. But you can create new plays, I don't know if create a play was included in last years version.

Fever is my favorit.
To me it is a sim if you play Read and Lead.

You can always discuss which games is the best, all I know is that Fever is the one that I have most fun white and cannot stop playing.

Since you are posting in a Fever forum, there's definatly goning to be a bias towards Fever.

That being said, I prefer playing Readn and Lead Fever on-line more than I ever enjoyed Madden.
