yes since head to head, the BoSox actually beat the Yankees every now and then. Cowboys have spanked the Redskins 12 of the last 13 and yet it's still considered a rivalry.

Are you comparing a rivalry on the field that goes back to almost the turn of the century to a rivalry between Madden and ESPN?

At least at times the Socks have been a threat to the Yankees. ESPN to this point hasn't even done that.

I think the Madden vs. ESPN rivalry is one sided. VC see's it as a rivalry and EA as the enemy. I don't think EA see's VC as even a speck on the radar.
