After Playing ALL 3 Big Games
There were things I liked and should be included in all of the games next year.
1. Graphics--Player Models (ESPN rocks and looks awesome), Lighting (Madden rocks and has good effects--light/dark however should add moving clouds like ESPN), Stadiums (Madden fields and stadiums look more realistic and more natural--softer turf/grass look), Weather Effects (Madden rocks and looks good)
2. Presentation-ESPN rocks not even close (ESPN style half-time/post-game show, overlays with stats,etc), however Bruno radio show is good
3. Gameplay-ESPN seems to play better however needs to have Madden AI (suspect at times though), ESPN needs some better collision detection with contact-Madden seems to flow smoother, BOTH games need to improve screen passes(ESPN is a bit better), Passing game (mixed bag-I like ESPN animations and scrambling and lob effect but Madden has better DB/WR realism. Running game (ESPN is a lot better however running animations are better in Madden. More OL AI needs fixed in both games. I like Fever's call for FB/RB blocks to pick up blitzes.
4. Franchise-Madden Rules!! I like weekly prep but trades/injury AI needs fixed. An ESPN NCAA game would rock with next gen systems.
5. Audio-I like thing from both games however I think Madden PC will have more specific chants, stadium noises. NCAA has best crowd noise rock on. The stadium PA ESPN music trax rocks the best and Im sure Madden PC will have it too. Commentary-Id rather have ESPN style with real ESPN crew.
