RIP Rivals

Never played the game, but it's dead.

Re: RIP Rivals

This truly blows! It was a great game that had fantastic potential.
There's now no reason for me to buy Xbox next now.

Re: RIP Rivals

The series isn't dead, they're taking a year off to rebuild their titles. It's a good move.

Re: RIP Rivals

From some of the numerous rumours I've heard on the web, VC's contract with Sega is up this year and MS will be buying it making ESPN sports games Xbox exclusive.
If this is the case then Rivals is dead. I might be the only one in the world to say it, but I felt that Rivals was a better hockey game than ESPN. Sure their graphis and presentation weren't as good and the goalies all played the same static style, but the actual gameplay and physics were way better.
