We played so well for the first half-hour even though we squandered some chances. We really should been up at least 1-0 but we eventually had some breakdowns, they pressured us all match and we just couldn't handle it. We have revenge on the mind though.

Re: The Reggae Boyz (FIFA WC '10)

San Pedro, Honduras

Fresh off a humiliating 6-0 defeat by Mexico, the Reggae Boyz looked to rebound against a game Honduras side. Things could not have started worse for Jamaica as they fell behind 2-0 before the clock hit the 7 minute mark. Carlos Pavon headed home a Guevera cross followed up by David Suazo beating Jamaica GK Rickets on a breakaway goal. As the Hondurans celebrated Manager Strong looked on in disbelief, "After the way the 2nd of the Mexico match went to come out like this was a huge disappointment. They came right and kicked us in the nuts twice."

Jamaica would settle down and Luton Shelton would place a finesse shot in the corner of the net to cut the lead to 2-1 in first half stoppage time. Ricardo Fuller got the Jamaicans on level terms 11 minutes into the 2nd half when he headed home a Ricardo Gardner cross. The once jubilant Honduran crowd was now silent as the Reggae Boyz battle back. Things would go back and forth with Shelton missing a wide open net on a header and Ricardo Gardner hitting BOTH posts from a shot outside the net; "There are no other words to describe that shot other than saying, unlucky".

After battling back, Jamaica was dealt the final crippling blow as Suazo broke free on the right flank and beat Ricketts near post in the 87th minute to give the Hondurans all 3 points and send Jamaica to a disappointing 2nd straight loss.

Up next the Reggae Boyz will host Mexico in their 1st home match in the Qualifying Stage.

Yeah man. It was heart-breaking to fight back from down 2-0 after 6 minutes only to lose in the 87th.

We've hit some bad form lately on the defensive side but keep the faith in the Reggae Boyz.
