Re: "The Monday Night Wars...REIGNITED" WCW vs. WWE vs. ECW [A WWE2K19 Universe]
WCW HALLOWEEN HAVOC PPV - OCTOBER WEEK 2, YEAR 1
Before the night's opening contest, a six-man tag team match between The Full Blooded Italians and the trio of Christopher Daniels along with Brian Adams and Bryan Clark of Kronik, Little Guido of the F.B.I. comes out to the ring and proposes a stipulation - if the F.B.I. wins the match, Little Guido gets a shot at Daniels for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Daniels comes out and accepts the challenge.
MATCH 1: The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido/Big Guido/Chuck Palumbo) v. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Kronik (Brian Adams/Bryan Clark)
Daniels and Kronik are in control early. Adams beats up on Palumbo, and later, Clark delivers a devastating top-rope powerslam to Little Guido, but the F.B.I. member kicks out jut before a three-count. Things take a turn when Daniels is forced to contend with Big Guido in the ring. After the larger man drops The Fallen Angel with a soaring military press slam, Big Guido and his brother team up, with Little Guido driving Daniels' head into the mat with a diving leg drop from the top rope, Big Guido steadying Daniels in the wheelbarrow position. Daniels is able to reverse course briefly, locking Little Guido in the Koji clutch. But when he makes a tag to Clark, the smaller F.B.I. member brings in his much larger brother. Big Guido delivers a powerful reverse chokeslam to Clark and pins him for the victory, earning his brother Little Guido a shot at Daniels' Cruiserweight title belt.
A video package plays, previewing the upcoming contest: for weeks now, Kane has been devastating the WCW roster, crushing opponents, often in two-on-one or even three-on-one handicap matches, and continuing to punish them in post-match attacks. At the previous PPV event, Fall Brawl, Kane not only won a three-on-one gauntlet match, but seriously injured one of his opponents, The Godfather, backstage after the contest. The Godfather's friend and tag team partner, Goldust, challenged Kane to a Backstage Brawl in an effort to gain vengeance on behalf of his friend.
MATCH 2: Goldust v. Kane [Backstage Brawl]
Goldust gives it the old college try, but there isn't much he can do to stop Kane, much less slow him down. After beating up on his opponent throughout several hallways, Kane chokeslams Goldust through a table. Kane moves the fight to the parking lot area, and after slamming Goldust into a number of cars, delivers a sidewalk slam and a running powerslam onto the hard concrete. Kane finishes his opponent off by dragging Goldust onto the hood of a sedan and chokeslamming him again, this time on top of the vehicle and through its windshield.
MATCH 3:Tazz and Ken Shamrock v. Randy Orton and Batista v. The Impact Players (Lance Storm/Justin Credible)
Chaotic action with all six men brawling at once. Batista drills Tazz into the mat with a spinebuster. While Orton takes down Credible with a fallaway slam, Tazz is able to drop Batista with a powerful suplex. Shamrock takes down Storm with a belly-to-back suplex. Storm gains a measure of revenge with a devastating superkick to Shamrock, only to receive a gutbuster suplex from the World's Most Dangerous Man. While Tazz, Credible and Orton spill to the outside, however, Shamrock applies the ankle lock to Batista, and before anyone can break it up, the big man is forced to tap out.
A video package shows the World Heavyweight Champion Sting graciously offering a shot at his title out of respect to Ricky Steamboat, several weeks ago on Nitro, only for Triple H to attack Sting and disrupt the match, costing Steamboat his shot at the belt. Not long after, U.S. Champion Rey Mysterio follows Sting's example and offers Steamboat a shot at this own belt, setting up the following match.
MATCH 4: Ricky Steamboat v. Rey Mysterio (c) [WCW U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP]
In a battle of slow and methodical against high-flying risk-taking, it is the champion who comes out on top after a terrific back-and-forth matchup. Early on, Steamboat locks Mysterio into an armbar, but Rey breaks out and ends up hitting a 619 followed by a diving splash from the top rope. Steamboat kicks out. Strikes and chops from the Dragon hurt Mysterio. But after Steamboat tries to slow down Mysterio with a sleeper hold, the masked marvel escapes the hold with a jawbreaker. Shortly afterward, Mysterio lands a top rope dragonrana for the pinfall.
The upcoming match is previewed with a video recap of recent events featuring a bitter three-way feud. Shane Douglas resents both Ric Flair and The Rock, feeling that both get more acclaim than he despite his opinoin that he is a superior performer. Flair looks down on Douglas, while resenting The Rock for refusing his efforts to mentor him. Then there is The Rock, who thinks he doesn't need Flair's help because he has already surpassed The Nature Boy, while looking down on Douglas for being a lesser athlete.
MATCH 5: The Rock v. Shane Douglas v. Ric Flair
Flair and The Rock both focus on one another early, indicating their disdain for Douglas, who both feel is beneath them. Flair takes the fight to the People's Champ from the get go, using his rolodex of dirty tricks, chokes, and chops. With The Rock incapacitated, Douglas tries to go at Flair, but The Nature Boy locks him into a Figure Four. The Rock climbs in the ring and breaks the hold just as Douglas appears ready to tap. Flair, though, expends much of his energy on the Figure Four, and The Rock is able to hit Flair with the Rock Bottom, pinning him for the victory before Douglas can break up the cover.
Triple H makes his way out to the ring with a microphone, showered with boos from the Philadelphia crowd.
Triple H: "Tonight, play time is over, and the real Game begins! Amateur hour is over, Sting. You've been thriving on facing lesser competition, but you're stepping up to the plate in a whole new ballgame. Tonight, you will be exposed, because the man is always lesser than the myth...except where The Game is concerned. And tonight, I will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are just that - a myth, a tall tale. You'may be an icon of sorts, but only in comparison to the dregs of the wrestling world you've spent your career battling. You've never faced someone like me, and after tonight, you may never get the chance to face someone like me again!"
MATCH 6: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy) v. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart/Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) (c)[WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP]
The Hart Foundation take turns wearing down Jeff Hardy early on, Anvil with his set of power moves followed by Hart, who targets Hardy's legs with calculated strikes and holds to ground the high-flyer. But eventually a fresh Matt Hardy gets the tag, and catches Hart off-guard, totally shifting the match momentum. A running bulldog precedes the Side Effect, which is followed by the Twist of Fate. Hart narrowly avoids a three-count, and then locks Matt in an armbar. Jeff and Anvil get back into the match, and this time, Jeff takes the fight to Neidhart. Hardy catches Anvil with a surprise Twist of Fate and pins him. Matt holds off Bret's attempt to break up the cover, and the Hardy Boyz score a huge upset victory, celebrating as Bret berates his brother-in-law and tag team partner for getting pinned and costing the Hart Foundation the belts.
The growing rivalry between Triple H and Sting, the World Heavyweight Champion, is highlighted before the start of the main event. Triple H's victory in War Games at last month's PPV event, Fall Brawl, earned him a shot at the title. A war of words and attacks between the challenger and the champion escalated, with Sting emphasizing that he has a trusty weapon of choice - his black baseball bat - to counter Triple H's great equalizer, his sledgehammer.
MATCH 7: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon v. Sting (c) [WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP]
Triple H's wife, Stephanie McMahon makes a rare appearance, accompanying her husband to the ring. The match starts off as a slugfest, champion and challenger trading strikes. Triple H lands a belly-to-back suplex and then takes a lead when he takes Sting down with a drop toe hold into the ropes. Triple H grabs hold of the top rope and shoves a knee into Sting's back, grinding the champ's throat into the middle rope. Triple H keeps punishing Sting for several minutes, dropping him with a devastating DDT and eventually setting up for the Pedigree. But a hunched-over Sting counters, with the challenger flying head first over the champion's back!
Sting grabs the opportunity, punching and chopping at The Game. After Sting lands several moves, Triple H takes back control after a low blow. The Game goes for the Pedigree again, but Sting anticipates it and drives Triple H's head into the mat with a jumping DDT. Sting sets Triple H up in the corner and lands the Stinger Splash! A frustrated Triple H exits the ring.
With both Sting and the referee fixated on The Game, Stephanie McMahon pulls a chair out from under the apron and slides it into the ring. She then gets up on the apron and distracts the referee, while Triple H re-enters the squared circle, whips Sting into the ropes and hits him with a high knee lift. Then Triple H delivers a powerful spinebuster to Sting, the champion's back slamming directly into the steel chair. The Game gets rid of the evidence just before the referee turns his attention back to the match. But when he goes for the Pedigree, Sting counters again and lands a Scorpion Death Drop. Stephanie, however, again gets on the apron and distracts the referee as Sting goes for the pin.
Realizing what is happening, Sting goes over to the apron, yelling at Stephanie. Triple H takes the opportunity to hit Sting from behind. He grabs Sting's legs in the wishbone position and stomps on the champion's groin. Triple H brings Sting up to his feet and finally lands the Pedigree...but Sting kicks out after a two-count! The champion hits a fireman's carry fallaway slam, then another Stinger Splash, and locks Triple H into the Scorpion Deathlock. Sting has the hold locked in for some time, but Triple H somehow holds out and eventually breaks the hold.
Frustration, however, sets in. Triple H is irate, unable to come to terms with Sting's sheer willpower. The Game pretends to accidentally run into the referee, creating the perfect opportunity for Stephanie to slide a sledgehammer into the ring. Triple H hits Sting in the back with his weapon of choice, but Sting embraces the pain, turns around and snatches the sledgehammer out of Triple H's hands. The champion delivers strike after strike as the referee gets back to his feet.
A fuming Triple H grabs the sledgehammer again, but this time, hits the referee in the midsection. The referee doubles over in pain as he calls for the bell, signaling an end to the match. Sting lands an elbow to the head of Triple H and puts his hands on his shoulders, shaking his head in disgust.
