WCW THUNDER - OCTOBER WEEK 2, YEAR 1

The Washington, D.C. crowd goes nuts as WCW Thunder gets underway with Ric Flair making his way down to the ring. Before Flair meets The Rock and Shane Douglas in a triple threat match at Fall Brawl, he plays the victim, saying that this all started only because he was trying to help The Rock to become the next Ric Flair. The Nature Boy explains that he saw immense potential in The Rock, that he could have helped him realize it and become the greatest of all time, but The Rock instead insulted him and denigrated him. Now, Flair explains, he's going to show The Rock just how immense an error he made. But that's not the whole story, Flair says. Because then Shane Douglas - who Flair explains lacks any of the potential The Rock has, who is a no-talent nobody - stuck his nose in the middle of someone else's business. According to Flair, Douglas should just be happy having a job. So now, Flair says, he's on a mission to teach two different lessons to two very different but equally ungrateful opponents.

MATCH 1: La Parka v. Ultimo Dragon

La Parka gets a big upset victory, defeating the Japanese star after landing a powerful spear.

Spoiler

MATCH 2: Shane Douglas v. Lex Luger w/ Konnan

Luger takes Douglas down with a running forearm smash and hoists The Franchise up into the Torture Rack, but Douglas squirms his way out of the hold and counters into a DDT. He follows it up with a Franchiser that seals the victory.

Spoiler

Having claimed victory, Shane Douglas stays in the ring and grabs a microphone.

Shane Douglas: "I couldn't help but listen to that windbag Ric Flair earlier tonight. That old man runs his mouth more often than he runs to the bathroom every night to empty his bladder. Flair, you think I should just be grateful to have a job? Look in the mirror, pal. You should be enjoying your golden years with your feet up and a bed pan underneath. Instead, you're wasting people's time and money, taking up space on this roster like you've been doing for years. You're right about one thing, though. Two very different lessons will be taught this Sunday at Halloween Havoc, because after I'm done showing you the door to the old folks' home, I'm going to show that big-mouthed piece of crap The Rock that he's just like you - all talk, no substance!"

MATCH 3: The F.B.I. (Big Guido/Chuck Palumbo w/ Little Guido) v. Kronik (Brian Adams/Bryan Clark)

Just days before all three members of the F.B.I. will take on Kronik and the WCW Cruiserweight Champion, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, in a six-man tag team match, the F.B.I.'s two big men pick up what many would call an upset victory after Palumbo hits the swinging sidewalk slam on Adams for the win. Little Guiodo provides assistance from the outside, distracting the official and both members of Kronik throughout the match.

Spoiler

Following a commercial break, The Rock enters the ring armed with a microphone as the fans in the nation's capital go crazy.

The Rock: "Ric Flair, Shane Douglas... you want to flap your gums and speak The Rock's name without clearing it with The Great One first? Well, The Rock says you should both shut your mouths and let the People's Champion educate you jabronis about one thing. Ric Flair, The Rock doesn't need your help doing anything, because whether you understand it or not, The Rock is already the greatest... EVER! The Rock has already done, said and seen what you never have and never will. And Shane Douglas, The Rock says you're not even in The Rock's league. While Old Man Flair is trying his damnedest not to dribble all over himself, The Rock is going to be beating your candyass all over the People's Ring, Douglas. And when it's all said and done, Douglas, your jabroni *** is going to learn why The Rock is the most electrifying man in the history of Sports Entertainment!"

MATCH 4: Mr. Perfect v. Booker T

Booker T is able to counter an attempted PerfectPlex by kneeing Hennig in the head. Once Hennig drops him back to his feet, Booker T delivers a jumping crescent kick, taking Mr. Perfect down. After a Spinaroonie, Booker T drills Hennig with the Book End for the victory.

Spoiler

Triple H makes his way out to the ring, a loud chorus of boos greeting him.

Triple H: "Nearly half a year ago, I got a phone call from Eric Bischoff telling me that I had been drafted to the roster of WCW, and that's when I set my sights on becoming the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. It took me less than six months to come here and work my way toward my shot at the belt, and this Sunday, everything I've been working toward is going to come to fruition.

"Let's look at the facts, folks. Yeah, Sting beat a senile Ric Flair at Great American Bash to win the World Heavyweight Championship. But at Bash at the Beach, Sting left with the belt only after I ended the match prematurely by beating Kevin Nash's brains in with a steel chair. Yes, Sting retained against Vader at Souled Out, but their rematch at Fall Brawl was a no contest; the match never even took place because they were too busy beating each other's brains in on the entrance ramp.

"Sting, I'm not some overgrown freak dumb enough to cost himself a chance at winning the most lucrative and prestigious prize in this business. Hell, I beat that stupid overgrown freak on Nitro earlier this week. You won't have such luck with me. They don't call me the Cerebral Assassin because I flush opportunities down the drain."

The fans go wild as the music of Sting hits the arena, and the World Heavyweight Champion makes his way out onto the stage, his championship belt slung across his shoulder, a black bat in one hand and a microphone in the other.

Sting: "Who is it exactly, Triple H, that calls you the Cerebral Assassin? You? You did beat Vader... after he beat you from pillar to post, and only because your sledgehammer did the damage your fists couldn't. Your little tale about arriving here in WCW conveniently left out the fact that this isn't your first go-around here where the big boys play, is it Hunter? See, I was main eventing while you were trying to kiss enough *** to get on WCW Saturday Night when you were here the first time.

"Why don't you stop telling everyone what a genius you are, shut your mouth for once, and show it in the ring? Because let me assure you, Hunter, the only thing for sure about our match at Halloween Havoc this weekend is that I am going to bring it. I'm going to give you everything I've got. And if you want to bring your little sledgehammer friend to the party..."

Sting pounds his black baseball bat into the palm of his other hand.

Sting: "...well, we can definitely play ball..."

The champion leaves the stage and goes behind the curtain as Triple H seethes in the ring.

MATCH 5: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy), Tazz and Ken Shamrock v. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart/Jim Neidhart) and The Impact Players (Lance Storm/Justin Credible)

This four-on-four tag team match features quick tags, with all eight men seeing action. When Jeff Hardy bounces off the ropes looking to convert a running senton splash onto a grounded Justin Credible, Bret Hart delivers a brutal forearm smash from the apron to the back of Hardy, causing the high-flyer to stumble, and giving Credible the opportunity to tie him up in an inside cradle. Hart celebrates as he gains a measure of revenge against Jeff Hardy, who has beaten him twice in singles competition over the last three weeks.

Spoiler

WWE SMACKDOWN - OCTOBER WEEK 2, YEAR 1

MATCH 1: The Hurricane v. Ernest "The Cat" Miller

Miller drills Hurricane with a low blow while the referee isn't looking, and then hits the Feliner before pinning his opponent for a three-count and the victory.

Spoiler

A video package previewing tonight's main event - a match between Buff Bagwell and Chris Jericho for Y2J's Intercontinental Championship belt - is shown on the TitanTron. The package shows how Jericho lost the belt several months ago to Scott Hall, thanks to Bagwell's interference, and how he regained the belt later in spite of Bagwell. The package concludes with Jericho's comments on this past episode of Raw about how disappointed he was that the nWo was successful in their matches at the recent No Mercy PPV, but that he still fondly recalls beating Hall.

MATCH 2: Bam Bam Bigelow v. Hugh Morrus v. Bobby Lashley [Hardcore match]

With Lashley down, Bigelow goes up for a Bam Bam Sault. But Morrus, who'd been on the outside after taking a garbage can to the face, scrambles up to the apron and knocks Bigelow off. Bigelow tumbles down to the mat, and Morrus goes up to the turnbuckle himself, hitting his own diving moonsault - the No Laughing Matter - and winning the match.

Spoiler

Sycho Sid comes out to the ring, congratulating his ally Morrus on the victory. But Sid stays in the ring and grabs a microphone.

Sycho Sid: "HAHAHAHA! What I did to The Undertaker at No Mercy, bloodying him, beating him senseless and taking his Hardcore Championship belt... that's still not the whole story. The Dead Man isn't really dead yet, see, he's just recovering from his injuries. But when he comes back, I'm going to put him six feet under for good! This is MY WORLD, DEAD MAN! I AM THE RULER OF THIS WORLD!"

MATCH 3: Samoa Joe and Glacier v. The Nation of Domination (Mark Henry/D'Lo Brown)

The Nation looks to have the match won after D'Lo nails Glacier with a standing leg drop and then drills him with a Sky High, but Samoa Joe breaks up the ensuing pin attempt. Later, after a Cryonic Kick to Mark Henry from Glacier, Samoa Joe gets the World's Strongest Man to tap out to a dragon sleeper, securing the victory for his side.

Spoiler

Samoa Joe calls out Rikishi, with whom he has been feuding for over a month now. But when Rikishi gets to the ring, he goes straight for Joe. The two rivals brawl before they're separated by WWE officials.

MATCH 4: Diamond Dallas Page v. Raven [Hardcore match]

This is a hardcore match, but there are no weapons used, as just a few minutes into the match, Rhyno runs out from the back and delivers a powerful Gore to DDP. Raven delivers some punishment to DDP afterwards. When DDP mounts a brief comeback, however, Raven gives him a devastating low blow and covers him for the pinfall.

Spoiler

Road Dogg Jesse James and Bad *** Billy Gunn, The New Age Outlaws come out to the ring. After their usual shenanigans, Road Dogg talks about how the Outlaws were screwed out of winning the tag team titles when they lost to Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett of the nWo at the recent No Mercy PPV event, thanks to the distractions perpetrated by the nWo's Buff Bagwell. Road Dogg says their contract included a rematch clause, and the Outlaws aren't going to wait until the next PPV, Survivor Series. The Outlaws have informed WWE President Shane McMahon that they'll take their rematch on the next episode of Raw.

MATCH 5: Buff Bagwell w/ Scott Hall v. Chris Jericho (c) [WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP]

Foreseeing the typical nWo tactics, Jericho attacks Bagwell and Hall from behind during their entrance to the ring. He bloodies Bagwell, bashing his head against the barricade. Not long afterward, Jericho drags Bagwell to the ring, but Bagwell surprisingly takes command. After stomping down on Y2J in the corner, Bagwell is able to drill Jericho with a butterfly DDT and then hits him with the Blockbuster.

But Y2J kicks out of the ensuing cover after a count of two, and subsequently takes control of the match. When he locks Bagwell in the Walls of Jericho, however, Bagwell twists out of the hold and "accidentally" sends Jericho careening into the referee, knocking the official down. That's when Hall slides into the ring with a steel chair and takes down Jericho with a vicious chair shot, adding a couple more while Jericho squirms on the mat in pain. The referee recovers to see Bagwell covering Jericho, and makes the three-count, declaring Bagwell the winner and the new Intercontinental Champion.

WCW HALLOWEEN HAVOC PPV - OCTOBER WEEK 2, YEAR 1

Before the night's opening contest, a six-man tag team match between The Full Blooded Italians and the trio of Christopher Daniels along with Brian Adams and Bryan Clark of Kronik, Little Guido of the F.B.I. comes out to the ring and proposes a stipulation - if the F.B.I. wins the match, Little Guido gets a shot at Daniels for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Daniels comes out and accepts the challenge.

MATCH 1: The Full Blooded Italians (Little Guido/Big Guido/Chuck Palumbo) v. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Kronik (Brian Adams/Bryan Clark)

Daniels and Kronik are in control early. Adams beats up on Palumbo, and later, Clark delivers a devastating top-rope powerslam to Little Guido, but the F.B.I. member kicks out jut before a three-count. Things take a turn when Daniels is forced to contend with Big Guido in the ring. After the larger man drops The Fallen Angel with a soaring military press slam, Big Guido and his brother team up, with Little Guido driving Daniels' head into the mat with a diving leg drop from the top rope, Big Guido steadying Daniels in the wheelbarrow position. Daniels is able to reverse course briefly, locking Little Guido in the Koji clutch. But when he makes a tag to Clark, the smaller F.B.I. member brings in his much larger brother. Big Guido delivers a powerful reverse chokeslam to Clark and pins him for the victory, earning his brother Little Guido a shot at Daniels' Cruiserweight title belt.

Spoiler

A video package plays, previewing the upcoming contest: for weeks now, Kane has been devastating the WCW roster, crushing opponents, often in two-on-one or even three-on-one handicap matches, and continuing to punish them in post-match attacks. At the previous PPV event, Fall Brawl, Kane not only won a three-on-one gauntlet match, but seriously injured one of his opponents, The Godfather, backstage after the contest. The Godfather's friend and tag team partner, Goldust, challenged Kane to a Backstage Brawl in an effort to gain vengeance on behalf of his friend.

MATCH 2: Goldust v. Kane [Backstage Brawl]

Goldust gives it the old college try, but there isn't much he can do to stop Kane, much less slow him down. After beating up on his opponent throughout several hallways, Kane chokeslams Goldust through a table. Kane moves the fight to the parking lot area, and after slamming Goldust into a number of cars, delivers a sidewalk slam and a running powerslam onto the hard concrete. Kane finishes his opponent off by dragging Goldust onto the hood of a sedan and chokeslamming him again, this time on top of the vehicle and through its windshield.

Spoiler

MATCH 3:Tazz and Ken Shamrock v. Randy Orton and Batista v. The Impact Players (Lance Storm/Justin Credible)

Chaotic action with all six men brawling at once. Batista drills Tazz into the mat with a spinebuster. While Orton takes down Credible with a fallaway slam, Tazz is able to drop Batista with a powerful suplex. Shamrock takes down Storm with a belly-to-back suplex. Storm gains a measure of revenge with a devastating superkick to Shamrock, only to receive a gutbuster suplex from the World's Most Dangerous Man. While Tazz, Credible and Orton spill to the outside, however, Shamrock applies the ankle lock to Batista, and before anyone can break it up, the big man is forced to tap out.

Spoiler

A video package shows the World Heavyweight Champion Sting graciously offering a shot at his title out of respect to Ricky Steamboat, several weeks ago on Nitro, only for Triple H to attack Sting and disrupt the match, costing Steamboat his shot at the belt. Not long after, U.S. Champion Rey Mysterio follows Sting's example and offers Steamboat a shot at this own belt, setting up the following match.

MATCH 4: Ricky Steamboat v. Rey Mysterio (c) [WCW U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP]

In a battle of slow and methodical against high-flying risk-taking, it is the champion who comes out on top after a terrific back-and-forth matchup. Early on, Steamboat locks Mysterio into an armbar, but Rey breaks out and ends up hitting a 619 followed by a diving splash from the top rope. Steamboat kicks out. Strikes and chops from the Dragon hurt Mysterio. But after Steamboat tries to slow down Mysterio with a sleeper hold, the masked marvel escapes the hold with a jawbreaker. Shortly afterward, Mysterio lands a top rope dragonrana for the pinfall.

Spoiler

The upcoming match is previewed with a video recap of recent events featuring a bitter three-way feud. Shane Douglas resents both Ric Flair and The Rock, feeling that both get more acclaim than he despite his opinoin that he is a superior performer. Flair looks down on Douglas, while resenting The Rock for refusing his efforts to mentor him. Then there is The Rock, who thinks he doesn't need Flair's help because he has already surpassed The Nature Boy, while looking down on Douglas for being a lesser athlete.

MATCH 5: The Rock v. Shane Douglas v. Ric Flair

Flair and The Rock both focus on one another early, indicating their disdain for Douglas, who both feel is beneath them. Flair takes the fight to the People's Champ from the get go, using his rolodex of dirty tricks, chokes, and chops. With The Rock incapacitated, Douglas tries to go at Flair, but The Nature Boy locks him into a Figure Four. The Rock climbs in the ring and breaks the hold just as Douglas appears ready to tap. Flair, though, expends much of his energy on the Figure Four, and The Rock is able to hit Flair with the Rock Bottom, pinning him for the victory before Douglas can break up the cover.

Spoiler

Triple H makes his way out to the ring with a microphone, showered with boos from the Philadelphia crowd.

Triple H: "Tonight, play time is over, and the real Game begins! Amateur hour is over, Sting. You've been thriving on facing lesser competition, but you're stepping up to the plate in a whole new ballgame. Tonight, you will be exposed, because the man is always lesser than the myth...except where The Game is concerned. And tonight, I will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are just that - a myth, a tall tale. You'may be an icon of sorts, but only in comparison to the dregs of the wrestling world you've spent your career battling. You've never faced someone like me, and after tonight, you may never get the chance to face someone like me again!"

MATCH 6: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy/Matt Hardy) v. The Hart Foundation (Bret Hart/Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart) (c)[WCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP]

The Hart Foundation take turns wearing down Jeff Hardy early on, Anvil with his set of power moves followed by Hart, who targets Hardy's legs with calculated strikes and holds to ground the high-flyer. But eventually a fresh Matt Hardy gets the tag, and catches Hart off-guard, totally shifting the match momentum. A running bulldog precedes the Side Effect, which is followed by the Twist of Fate. Hart narrowly avoids a three-count, and then locks Matt in an armbar. Jeff and Anvil get back into the match, and this time, Jeff takes the fight to Neidhart. Hardy catches Anvil with a surprise Twist of Fate and pins him. Matt holds off Bret's attempt to break up the cover, and the Hardy Boyz score a huge upset victory, celebrating as Bret berates his brother-in-law and tag team partner for getting pinned and costing the Hart Foundation the belts.

Spoiler

The growing rivalry between Triple H and Sting, the World Heavyweight Champion, is highlighted before the start of the main event. Triple H's victory in War Games at last month's PPV event, Fall Brawl, earned him a shot at the title. A war of words and attacks between the challenger and the champion escalated, with Sting emphasizing that he has a trusty weapon of choice - his black baseball bat - to counter Triple H's great equalizer, his sledgehammer.

MATCH 7: Triple H w/ Stephanie McMahon v. Sting (c) [WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP]

Triple H's wife, Stephanie McMahon makes a rare appearance, accompanying her husband to the ring. The match starts off as a slugfest, champion and challenger trading strikes. Triple H lands a belly-to-back suplex and then takes a lead when he takes Sting down with a drop toe hold into the ropes. Triple H grabs hold of the top rope and shoves a knee into Sting's back, grinding the champ's throat into the middle rope. Triple H keeps punishing Sting for several minutes, dropping him with a devastating DDT and eventually setting up for the Pedigree. But a hunched-over Sting counters, with the challenger flying head first over the champion's back!

Sting grabs the opportunity, punching and chopping at The Game. After Sting lands several moves, Triple H takes back control after a low blow. The Game goes for the Pedigree again, but Sting anticipates it and drives Triple H's head into the mat with a jumping DDT. Sting sets Triple H up in the corner and lands the Stinger Splash! A frustrated Triple H exits the ring.

With both Sting and the referee fixated on The Game, Stephanie McMahon pulls a chair out from under the apron and slides it into the ring. She then gets up on the apron and distracts the referee, while Triple H re-enters the squared circle, whips Sting into the ropes and hits him with a high knee lift. Then Triple H delivers a powerful spinebuster to Sting, the champion's back slamming directly into the steel chair. The Game gets rid of the evidence just before the referee turns his attention back to the match. But when he goes for the Pedigree, Sting counters again and lands a Scorpion Death Drop. Stephanie, however, again gets on the apron and distracts the referee as Sting goes for the pin.

Realizing what is happening, Sting goes over to the apron, yelling at Stephanie. Triple H takes the opportunity to hit Sting from behind. He grabs Sting's legs in the wishbone position and stomps on the champion's groin. Triple H brings Sting up to his feet and finally lands the Pedigree...but Sting kicks out after a two-count! The champion hits a fireman's carry fallaway slam, then another Stinger Splash, and locks Triple H into the Scorpion Deathlock. Sting has the hold locked in for some time, but Triple H somehow holds out and eventually breaks the hold.

Frustration, however, sets in. Triple H is irate, unable to come to terms with Sting's sheer willpower. The Game pretends to accidentally run into the referee, creating the perfect opportunity for Stephanie to slide a sledgehammer into the ring. Triple H hits Sting in the back with his weapon of choice, but Sting embraces the pain, turns around and snatches the sledgehammer out of Triple H's hands. The champion delivers strike after strike as the referee gets back to his feet.

A fuming Triple H grabs the sledgehammer again, but this time, hits the referee in the midsection. The referee doubles over in pain as he calls for the bell, signaling an end to the match. Sting lands an elbow to the head of Triple H and puts his hands on his shoulders, shaking his head in disgust.

Re: "The Monday Night Wars...REIGNITED" WCW vs. WWE vs. ECW [A WWE2K19 Universe]

WCW NITRO - OCTOBER WEEK 3, YEAR 1

WCW President Eric Bischoff is in the ring as Nitro begins with a microphone.

Eric Bischoff: "We are in Hollywood tonight! And what better place than Los Angeles to share some important information with you, the WCW fans! Last night at Halloween Havoc, we crowned new WCW World Tag Team Champions, as the Hardy Boyz defeated the Hart Foundation. Congratulations are in order, but already every tag team in WCW is lobbying me for their title shots, and many of them make compelling cases. Instead of satisfying one and disappointing many, I've come up with another innovative Eric Bischoff solution!

Tonight, we begin a 7-team round robin tournament, which will play out on every episode of Nitro and Thunder for the next 3 weeks. The tag team with the best record at the end of the tournament will earn a match against the Hardy Boyz, with the Tag Team titles on the line, at our next Pay-Per-View event, World War 3 - and I have a major announcement about World War 3 that I'll be making just a little bit later tonight.

The seven teams participating in the round robin tournament include Lex Luger and Konnan from the nWo Wolfpac, Tazz and Ken Shamrock, Randy Orton and Batista, Booker T and Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat, Brian Adams and Bryan Clark of Kronik, Big Guido and Chuck Palumbo of the F.B.I. and, last but not least, Lance Storm and Justin Credible of the Impact Players. Let's not waste any time - the tournament begins NOW!"

MATCH 1: Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Round Robin Tournament - Round 1

The Impact Players (Lance Storm/Justin Credible) (0-0) v. The Full Blooded Italians (Big Guido/Chuck Palumbo) (0-0)

The Impact Players pick up the victory when Chuck Palumbo walks right into a surprise superkick from Lance Storm, who covers him for the three-count.

Spoiler

WCW President Eric Bischoff makes his way down to the ring again in order to make another major announcement.

Eric Bischoff: "World War 3 is upon us! That's right, our next Pay-Per-View event will be World War 3, and we are shaking things up with an all new format. Three phases will make up the new World War 3 - two 20-man over-the-top-rope battle royales will take place, and the two winners will meet later in the evening in a one-on-one Last Man Standing match. The winner of that contest will secure a spot in the main event at Starrcade in December, earning a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship!

The rules for the battle royales are simple - two men start, and another man enters every two minutes. In addition, two spots in each of the battle royales will be reserved for qualifying competitors from the NXT developmental promotion. Should any of those four young stars win one of the battle royales, they will automatically earn full-time promotion to the WCW roster.

In the coming weeks, you will see matches here on Nitro and on Thunder that will allow WCW stars to earn perks, like choosing which battle royale they'd like to participate in, or which entrant spot they will receive. World War 3 promises to be an incredible event, and why wouldn't it be? I, Eric Bischoff, am the brainchild!"

MATCH 2: Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Round Robin Tournament - Round 1

Kronik(Brian Adams/Bryan Clark) (0-0) v. Tazz and Ken Shamrock (0-0)

Kronik claims victory after they hit Ken Shamrock with their double-team finisher, the Total Meltdown - a powerbomb/diving clothesline combination.

Spoiler

After a commercial break, WCW President Eric Bischoff makes yet another in-ring appearance.

Eric Bischoff: "That's right, I'm back because I'm not done making announcements yet! Last night, in a Backstage Brawl match at Halloween Havoc, another member of the roster was sidelined with injuries at the hands of Kane. If he's lucky, Goldust will be healed in time for World War 3, but we certainly won't be seeing any of him until then, at the earliest.

Kane, I don't know what your problem is, you giant freak, but I can't have every member of the WCW roster heading to the hospital after they step in the ring with you. Tonight, let's see how you can handle yourself against someone who is just a little tougher. You're going to face Vader - and that match is happening right now. Oh, and Kane, if you lose this match, then whichever of the two battle royales you end up participating in at World War 3, you'll be the first entrant. Best of luck!"

MATCH 3: Vader v. Kane

In this battle of the behemoths, Kane is able to withstand Vader's aggression and notch the win with a powerful chokeslam that shakes the ring upon contact.

Spoiler

Eric Bischoff emerges on stage as Kane is declared victor.

Eric Bischoff: "Well, congratulations, Kane. Even Vader doesn't seem to be mighty enough to stop you. So you won't be the first entrant in either of the World War 3 battle royales... I guess I'll just have to make you the second entrant. So, regardless, you'll have to go the distance if you hope to win one of the battle royales. Don't screw with me, Kane. I'm in charge here!"

MATCH 4: Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Round Robin Tournament - Round 1

Randy Orton and Batista (0-0) v. nWo Wolfpac (Lex Luger/Konnan) (0-0)

Konnan falls to an RKO as Orton and Batista pick up their first victory in the tournament.

Spoiler

After disqualifying himself by hitting the referee with a sledgehammer during the main event at Halloween Havoc last night, Triple H makes his way out to the ring with a microphone in hand.

Triple H: "Sting, you didn't beat me. You didn't pin me. And even though you had me in the Scorpion Deathlock, I did not submit. As far as I can see, you've proven nothing and this isn't over. Not by a long shot."

Sting, the World Heavyweight Champion, comes down the stage and enters the ring.

Sting: "You took the coward's way out, Hunter, by attacking the referee, and you did it because you couldn't beat me. Because nothing you did, even cheating and having your wife try to win the match for you, was enough to take me down."

Triple H: "I am the cerebral assassin, and everything I do, I do for a reason. Nothing is my accident. Nothing is by coincidence. See, last night was the first time you and I stepped into the ring against one another in a one-on-one context. Now I've gotten a feel for your in-ring approach. Now I have experience that I can build on. That means the next time we meet, I'll be better prepared. I'll know exactly what I need to do to end your title reign and put that gold championship belt around my waist.

Out of nowhere, Triple H attacks Sting. The two men brawl across the ring before WCW officials manage to separate them.

MATCH 5: The Rock v. Bret "Hitman" Hart w/ Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart

For the first time ever, these two superstars face off in one-on-one competition, and there is a special stipulation on the line for this match - the winner will be guaranteed to be among the final 10 entrants in one of the two 20-man battle royales that will take place at the World War 3 PPV event, a major advantage.

One night after having lost the tag team titles, a determined Bret Hart puts on a technical clinic, working over The Rock's lower back and legs before ultimately forcing him to submit to the Sharpshooter, much to the chagrin of the vocal Staples Center crowd. Hart secures an advantage for World War 3.
