That Nestor strikeout on Devers was just ridiculous. Never seen anybody do that leg kick like that. Completely baffled Devers.

Re: 9/5 - 9/18 Game Discussion Thread

Jays are 19-8 in their last 27 games which crazy enough includes being outscored 22-3 in a 3 game sweep at home to a bottom 5 team in the AL who went 1-9 in the previous 10 games.

As if you didn't know already, baseball is a marathon not a sprint.

Crazy how you can have such horrible series vs teams you probably should've swept, yet still win almost every game outside of that in a months span.

Torres scores on a little league homer on a comedy of errors from Boston. Along with 2 more.

Re: 9/5 - 9/18 Game Discussion Thread

Bo is just the 8th different SS in MLB history to get 20 HR and 40+ doubles in a season before turning 25!

Jays now 1.5 games ahead of the Rays.

At this point, I think finishing .500 more than gives them a playoff spot. Just 6 wins in their final 9 games still gives them more wins than the top non WC is projected for.

But the real goal now should be trying to get the AL East race down to 3 or 4 games (its at 6 now) by next week. If they go into that Yankees series just 3 or 4 back, they definitely have a shot to overtake them.

Cards beat Brewers last night to get the lead back to 8 games in Central with 19 games left for each team to play.

At least Jays won this 5 game series.

Now take at least 2 of 3 vs O's and they'll continue being in good shape for the playoffs.

Good to see the Rays and Jays beating each other up. I'm writing the Rays off for the division. They have a bear of a schedule the rest of the way.

Re: 9/5 - 9/18 Game Discussion Thread

I really thought the Cards were going to pull off the comeback last night.

Need to win the remaining 4 games (doubleheader Saturday) over the weekend.
