Re: 9/19 - 10/5 Game Discussion Thread

Barring a collapse, it should be Jays,Mariners,Rays in the WC picture with Yankees,Astros and Cleveland as division winners.

Shouldn't matter who you play, but I'd rather go up against Seattle over TB in the playoffs, although Jays did get swept by Mariners 2 months ago so...

They've beaten the teams they should this season, but have lost vs the teams they will potentially face in playoffs. Hopefully it's not the same story come October.

A loss in the WC might sting if Houston is their next opponent. They've actually been good vs Astros this year (4-2 with 1 of the losses being a walkoff in extras)

Suarez broke a finger.. Julio's back is hurting.. Raleigh hurt his thumb.. pretty much the only hot bats on the team.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see the Ms collapse.

Gonna be interesting to see how many Hrs Judge ends up with. Gonna be crazy when he breaks Maris's record. Hopefully it will be at the stadium. It should be.

Re: 9/19 - 10/5 Game Discussion Thread

I'm curious to see how these wildcard teams are going to fight for the top wildcard seed and home field advantage down the stretch

For example, would the Jays start Alek Manoah on the final game of the season if they needed to win to clinch home field advantage rather than save him for Game One of the wildcard round? I mean if a win means you host a team rather than have to travel to say Tampa Bay -- which is the Jays house of horrors -- I think you do it.

Scherzer threw 6 perfect innings in his first start off the IL but understandably he’s getting pulled

Re: 9/19 - 10/5 Game Discussion Thread

Bradley Zimmer "returns" to Philly tonight.

Started the year with the Jays, got claimed off waivers by Philly, spent 2 weeks there, then got claimed back on waivers by the Jays.

That, and the whole Jays vs Philly with both teams involved in tight wildcard races are the stories tonight....
