Not sure who pitches for the Braves; Schwellenbach is out, Fried isn't available until Wednesday, Morton is out, Lopez pitched today and wouldn't be available until Thursday anyway, now Sale is likely unavailable at all due to back spasms, and the bullpen was nearly all used up in two games today.

And to thank the Cardinals parted ways with Mike Shildt due to "philosophical differences" on the future of the organization.

Now Shildt has the Padres in the playoffs and Marmol has the Cardinals out, for the 2nd straight season.

Welp, it looks like it's Bryce Elder instead for Game 1.

Nope, you're right. It's Smith-Shawver. I'm 0-for-2 today.

I’ll fuss as much as anybody in here the next couple of days, but honestly - after all the injuries - I’m happy just keeping the playoff streak alive. I don’t expect the Braves to beat the Padres. Anything from here is gravy.
