Re: How Many Stadiums Have You Been To?

I have only been to Busch Stadium II and Busch Stadium III. Not that I haven't wanted to go to any other games, but I've only been in two other MLB cities.

I was supposed to go watch the Cardinals play the Pirates in Pittsburgh, but my uncle got "sick".

I also traveled through Atlanta on a bus on my way to Disney World on my HS Marching Band trip. I saw Turner Field at 3 in the morning. (Atlanta is beautiful at 3 a.m.)

I have visited Beaver Stadium and have seen numerous other stadiums from the road.

That reminds me, I went to the RCA Dome to watch the DCI Championships. That place was really small.

You guys are so lucky that you get to travel to all these places.

If you ever get a chance to visit PNC Park in Pittsburgh, I highly recommend it. My favorite park by far. Pittsburgh is a pretty good deal when it comes to tickets, hotel prices, and food/drink prices in town.

Wrigley is another must see imo, it's my favorite pure baseball experience. Buy bleacher seats. Get there early to take in the atmosphere. See the game fro the bleachers and then hit Wrigleyville afterwards. Plus Chicago is a blast to visit when the weather is good.

I've only been to Rogers Centre before and after the field turf and facelift with the scoreboards and such.

I ALMOST got to go to Old Yankee stadium the last time I was in NYC but couldn't get to go. I really regret that

I have a drive by stadium story.
October 5th 2007
I friend and me drove up to Boston/Cape Cod for the weekend.
On the drive up from Jersey, we listened to the infamous 'joba bug' game on the radio, which was unforgettable [it being a radio broadcast made it even better for some reason. I guess its the imagining what was going on]. We were in traffic at the time, but the game made it bearable. Looking back it was even enjoyable. How many times can u say that about reminiscing being in traffic?

Later when we arrive in Boston, he wants to drive by his old haunts and he drives around pointing out old spots in the city. Eventually we head over toward the Fen.
He wanted to wait till it was over to pass by since it would be a madhouse.
But, we head by there anyway in the 9th, and RIGHT as we passed the stadium, no lie, we see people running like mad and we flip on the radio at the same time we see it was a Manny Walk-Off! They were all going after the ball.
let the madness begin.
I never saw so many college kids that obnoxious since twenty minutes before during our downtown drive.

It really was a cool night of baseball. Without even stepping in a stadium or turning on a tv.
The bug incident on the radio and the Manny walk off [kind of in-person].

to quote Bogie, " A hot dog at the game beats roast beef at the Ritz, well that's baseball and its my game".

Re: How Many Stadiums Have You Been To?

Former Stadiums:

Metrodome
County Stadium
Tiger Stadium
Old Yankee Stadium

Current Stadiums:

Oakland Coliseum
AT&T Park
Target Field
Miller Park

Bests:
Overall - AT&T
Game - Game 163 vs. Tigers - Metrodome
Tailgating - Miller
Experience - Sitting first row directly next to dugout - Tiger Stadium. This is when Celil Fielder, Chet Lemon, and Lou Whitiker, etc. were on the team. And it was against the Bash Brother A's. I spent the whole game peeking over the wall at all the players. Got Chet and Lou's autographs. I was about 8 or so - what a great day that was. Close second was walking out of the tunnel and seeing the field at Old Yankee Stadium. As much as I hate the Yankees, I got a little rush from that.

Worst:
Oakland by far.

Already have tickets for the Twins series at Miller in May. Always a good time.

Next on my list is Kauffman. Not even sure why I haven't made that road trip yet. The directions are pretty simple for me. Get on I-35 South. Drive. While I'm at it, I should probably skip over to St. Louis as well.

I'd like to go to Wrigley for a game since my brother lives a few blocks from it. Unfortunately, I always seem to visit him around my birthday in October and well...yeah.
