Food for thought, compare his career numbers against Jack Morris. One was nearly elected to the hall of fame, the other received exactly zero votes in his only year on the ballot.

Tanana had such an amazing career…comes up as a fireballing lefty (he and Ryan were studs for the Angels) and led the league in K's in '75. Then the injuries come and he turns into a finesse lefty and pitches until 1993 or so. Love guys like that…
