He is a 2 time gold glover though. My point is he's a gold glover with mvp offense.

No doubt Tulo's good...he's just not Simmons good. That said, he's a much more complete player and I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Well no player is the best at everything, not even Trout. I was just curious about why he picked Simmons over Tulo citing defense as the reason.

It would be one thing if Tulo was a terrible fielder but he is a gold glover which means he's probably the 2nd best.

Because Andrelton Simmons is all-time level great on defense.

Mike Trout is the best at everything. The Angels could put him on the mound and he'd go 27 up, 27 down.

I pretty much disagree with 90% of what you think/say, but the above statement is 100% fact.

Tulo is certainly no slouch on defense, but Simmons has been as valuable defensively through 372 games as Tulo has through 981. In fact, it took Ozzie Smith around five FULL seasons to put up as much value on defense as Simmons has in less than two and a half. His glove is that good.

But Tulo's bat is light years ahead of Simmons.

If I were to make a case of Simmons being a better player to pick, I would bring up the fact that Tulo is very injury prone and has trouble playing a full year.

That is a pretty significant issue.
