Because he's 32, under contract for about $20M per year going into his age 37 season. And unless he gets back on the juice, I doubt he will continue to hit 300 plus with solid power and still play good enough defense to justify playing for a NL team

He has a 5 year, $105 million extension kicking in this year. For a one tool player already well into his decline. Yes, he's a deadweight. The only way he gets traded is if Milwaukee writes a big check to whatever team trades for him, or if he's tied with another player who actually has real value, like Lucroy.
