I love having umpires to blame for my teams loss, I wont sleep at night if thats gone. my biggest issue is the 3 true outcomes. gimme more daily doubles and GIDP's . also **** on pace-of-play quotas. I'll be in the most smallest of minorities when I say I have no problem with 4 hour games. so 3 hour games sure dont bother me. they can consider tinkering with clocks when 5 hour games become the norm lol

Aren’t umpires/officials/refs a big issue in almost every sport though? You have the controversial officiating in the NHL playoffs, the huge missed call in the Saints Vs Rams NFL playoff game. I don’t follow the NBA or NHL very closely but I’m pretty sure I saw some negative things about the officials in the Warriors vs Rockets playoff series.

Seems like every league has issues in that department.

True but it's more of an issue of the gameplay in baseball. I still feel like it's issues in other sports but an a minor level. people mention pace of play all the time and not the Eric Gregg strike zone that's been developing over the last few years.

Re: 5/13 - 5/27 Game Discussion Thread

Honestly, I don't give a **** what they do with officiating in baseball..... just make it mandatory for broadcasts to ban the idiotic live strike zone floating on the screen like it's some kind of damn video game. Sure....show it here and there on a controversial pitch, but it's not there in real life.

Oh wait...maybe we SHOULD construct one there....they we'd really know in real time if it's a ball or strike!

Honestly. MLB has its issues. But to me they are the best of the big three sports.

NFL can be unwatchable. The NBA is obsessed with its superstar calls. I just hate the instant replay in MLB. Because its terribly executed.

Everyone else is fine.
