Key of the game (and Series IMO if Stros win it all) is Martinez not pinch hitting for Sanchez in the 4th with an excellent opportunity to tie the game and just put unbelievable pressure on Hunch, Grienke and their pen. Down 0-2 going into the 5th with a tie game the Nats could have forced them to panic.

Smh at Martinez treating Sanchez like he was John Smoltz or Nolan Ryan or something.

Absolutely atrocious approach by Rendon there.

You need to get on to put two on to give Soto a chance to tie and you go up there first pitch swinging?

I swear, athletes are dumb as **** sometimes.

I know the way we award wins is engrained/been done for so long, but a game like tonight is where I hate the "a starter has to go 5 to get the win" rule. IMO, Zack Greinke should get the "win" in that game. Of the 27 outs needed to win, he got 14 of them and left with his team winning. Instead, they give it to James who came in and got one out. It would be on thing if a reliever came in and pitched a couple of innings, but firing one out to get a win is stupid, IMO.

...and yes, I know pitchers "wins" are stupid, but we still award them.

We got ourselves a series now.

Funny, we said they knocked out Verlander and Cole and had a huge advantage. Now they got one under their belt with those guys turns coming around in a game, and it feels like the balance has shifted.

Figured this wouldn’t be a sweep. Hopefully they can take care of business tonight or else this place will really be on edge with a 2-2 series.
