I don’t know about us taking Donaldson unless you either unload Carpenter or convince him to take a bench role position which I’m not sure he will nor should we pay him to take that role.

According to Morosi, one of Betts, Lindor, Bryant group will be traded this winter.

I see Betts and Lindor being traded.

Re: 2019-2020 Hot Stove Thread

I will be surprised if the Indians don't move Lindor this offseason. He has 2 years left, so the Indians would be wise to capitalize on his value this year instead of waiting until next year where he only has one year of control left.

I think the Red Sox are going to have trouble unloading Betts unless they give him away cheap. $30M and only one year of control? I don't see it happening honestly.

I don't see the Cubs moving Bryant, although I understand the reasoning for it, but if I'm the Cubs I'm holding on and trying to put another World Series caliber team around him after making a few subtle moves this offseason (Contreras and Schwarber)

Marlins "believed" to have interest in Nick Castellanos.

Unloading is probably too strong a word, he's not Albert Pujols. I think there will be a few teams with interest, but the return won't be a great as one would expect it to be for a player like Mookie. That's why it's probably more realistic for the BoSox to get to the lowest tier of luxury tax rather than try to avoid it all together.

I wonder if the Cubs ever though of trading Bryant, and resigning Castellanos to play 3B. His defensive metrics rate him out better there than in the outfield.
