I don’t know what the answer is…I love the game and have my entire life, but it gets harder and harder to watch with the way pitching is handled.
It would probably require roster restrictions that will get a lot of blowback. Something like:

"Before each game, the manager must designate a maximum of FOUR pitchers that can enter the game after the starter is pulled. Additional pitchers are eligible once the game reaches the 10th inning."

Or the starter must pitch at least 5 innings, the only way you can pull him before that is if he gives up a 4 runs, throws 85 pitches, or is injured and then you must put him on the IL. I’m against this type of over regulation but if they’re going to make rules to eliminate the shift then **** it why not

These playoff games are like a petri dish for the most obsessive analytics based situational decision making. We saw that with the Dodgers a few days ago too. The must-win nature means they are digging in even more with it. Might as well break out the six sided dice while you're at it lol.

Yeah. All the changes and whatever interestingly enough make games feel even more cookie cutter.

Station to station garbage.

I'm thoroughly against anything that requires teams to use their players in a specific way, however.
Just have to ride the trend out. The answer is not more regulations. It never is.

Kiké Hernandez is now the all-time leader in postseason games with at least 10 total bases, getting his third last night.

He also now holds the record for most hits in a 4-game span in the postseason with 13.

Only team in MLB history to hit two grand slams in one postseason game, and we're not even in the 3rd inning.
