Best players to go undrafted in 2006

PG - Darius Washington, Taquan Dean, Juan Barea

SG - Mike Gansey, Chris Stinson, Allan Ray

SF - Taj Gray, Brandon Bowman, Marcus Slaughter

PF - JP Batista, Erik Hicks, Pops Mensah-Bonsu

C - Kevin Pittsnoggle, Yemi Nicholson, Justin Williams

And what about Gerry McNamara? I mean, sure he is undersized to be a SG (6'1 180), and doesn't have the best skills to be a PG, but what didn't this guy do in college? Knocked down a town of threes, so he has NBA range. Stayed in school, so he is mature and experienced. Won a Championship. And carried the entire Syracuse team this season. This kid deserves a shot.

Mike Gansey was my sleeper going into the draft. I guarantee he will have a long career in the NBA. He won't be a star but he will give quite a few teams quality minutes. The kid can play. I would love for my local squad, the Sixers, to bring him in.

I'm really interested to see where Bowman lands. He should be able to prosper in this new drive-friendly NBA. Maybe Orlando if the don't re-sign Stevenson.

Justin Williams needs some "seasoning" but if he can develop a semblence of a offensive game he should make a squad in a year or two.

If the Knicks signed a couple of those players it would be a major upgrade talent wise from who they took. I'd love to see NYK go after Gansey or Pittsnoggle. Hell, Darius Washington (fricking *******) would be an upgrade from Mandy Collins.

Gansey and McNamara will be good players in the future I think.
