Re: Seattle SuperSonics

yea it's shared IF we get another team... if we do get another team, and the Thunder come to play in seattle, bennett can slap us in the face by having the thunder wear sonics throwbacks in seattle... our championship trophy is his property...

Re: Seattle SuperSonics

Man, the Sonics were beastly in the 90's GP,Kemp,Scremphf. Then in the 2000's they were pretty mediocre and I lost interest in them. But it's a shame Seattle doesn't have an Nba team amymore and lost their Sonics. Washington is such a basketball haven and producer of big time NBA and College stars, It's just not right they don't have a team anymore.

I'd like to see Las Vegas Kings, Brooklyn Nets, Seattle Sonics, and an Nba team in Louisville too. KC or St Louis should have one too, You can't please everyone though.

I've gotten drunk with Jake Lockear and his dad at the mainstreet bar in good ol Ferndale. What a funny little town, and to think that ten mins north of Ferndale Luke Ridnour went to school, pretty good pedigree for such small towns (NOTHING to do up there).

Actually, it's shared but the history can be split if Seattle is granted an expansion team. If a team moves to Seattle, Bennett can keep the Sonics history if he chooses.

At this point, the most likely teams to move to Seattle is the Grizzlies and the Sacramento Kings.

The Grizzlies are bleeding money at this point and the original owner is irritated at Stern from moving the team from Vancouver. Seattle would be a solid compromise.

The Kings could hypothetically move to Seattle if the NBA does not approve a move to Kansas City or Las Vegas. California will probably not save the Kings due to the current budget crisis and the proximity between other teams in the area.

If the Maloffs still the own the Kings, it might be their best option.

The NBA will come back to Seattle, the real ? is when.
