The Lakers don't look that great at all. Haven't looked like that since Kob got all nicked up. He's a walking injury report.

Andrew/Pau have never looked comfortable.

Their bench has been nothing of note.

Denver matches up with LA as well as any team out West. It's easy to see. Even without Carmelo.
Kobe just needs to heal up, that is real plain to see. Too bad, his coach can't convince him to sit out a game or two. Maybe after the all-star break he will be fine.

Nobody will be able to make the guy sit. He's bigger than the Lakers at this point, it is what it is.

Anyway that's not really their main problem.

Defense is what it comes down to for every team.

I don't care where the Lakers rank in opposing FG%, they haven't showed me much on that end.

No need to hit the panic button though, NBA regular season is pointless, LOL. Although I will say this is why I was hyping Denver up so much in the Summer.

No doubt.

It's fair to say no team has looked like a can't miss NBA finals participant.

But from the day they were eliminated by LA last year, it was clear as day that Denver was a force not to be taken lightly. It was clear that Denver posed a lot of problems for LA.

With the addition of a nice blur of a rookie [Lawson], a defender who doesn't try to do too much [Afflalo], and Melo reaching new heights.. Denver is a contender folks, I hope their doubters are now converted believers.

I think Kobe and the Lakers guards are susceptible to playing loose. Instead of using size mismatches, power mismatch and the beauty of the unstoppable triangle they get caught up in a one on one game. Farmer and Vulacic were horrible.

When the Lakers work against their strength they are beatable but when they follow the system that has won Phil all those rings they are clearly the best team. Not much the Nuggets can do. All about the Lakers.

I swear you flip flop so many times on the dude man LOL.

Anyway, NJ with another blown 4th quarter lead as usual. That's pretty much been the theme for us all year, but hey...I'll just be glad when this season is over.

-And again, I owe Mike Woodson an apology after I trashed the dude last year and said the Hawks wouldn't do anything as long as he's still coaching and the guy has proved me wrong.

-The Hawks are also probably the most entertaining team to watch in the league right now that isn't being force fed down our throats(speaking strictly for the non-League Pass owners)and watching Joe Johnson play on the court along with Jamal Crawford is a thing of beauty to watch.
