Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?

Nick Young is nothing but a certified chucker that only cares about getting his. Been like that since he was carrying Arenas' bag around when he was drafted. That's why I said Brooks is a more consistent version of Nick Young and that's only right now.

Same for the Joe Johnson comparison because JJ can still post his man in the paint to which most of the time he draws contact and ends up at the line. MarShon can't do that just yet because he's too small right now but once he's able to get an actual offseason in, then that'll come with time. But he's also blessed to be playing with a PG like Deron who also able to create looks for him as well(those 2 are damn good in the PnR).

Per 36 minutes, Irving is projected at 22.5 PPG, 6.7 APG, 4.5 RPG, 1.1 SPG, 4.4 Turnovers Per, and doing all of this while shooting the ball 17.5 times per game. Pretty good.

Rubio is projected at 12.1 PPG, 9.4 APG, 5.2 RPG, 2.6 SPG, 3.7 turnovers per, and doing it while shooting the ball 9.7 times per game. Rubio actually turns it over at a higher rate than Irving, but the difference is that Irving's usage is close to being twice as high as Rubio's.
Anthony Parker is out with a back strain, so Irving logged 35 and 36 minutes over the last 2 games, instead of the 25-28 he usually gets. After the PHX game he was at 27 and some change per 36, but his usage and per numbers will fall with him and Sessions playing heavy minutes together now. Irving is nowhere near the same player off the ball...

I think it's Rubios award to lose as the T-wolves have become everyones fav loveable losers, while the Cavs while playing good ball, will get no attention until the national media starts talking up Kyrie.

I didn't finish reading the article above. But off the top of my head I was say yea. Irving is playing better than Paul did his rookie year. But I don't know about LeBron's rookie. Didn't he finish with 20 5 5. I don't think Paul averaged more than 5-6 assist a game. Let me double check.

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?

Kyrie has been playing very good ball but I would hold off on calling him better than Paul or LeBron as rookies. He is only 13 games in. I need to see a lot more than 13 games before making those kind of statements. I will give him so far that he has been damn good.

Main reason i would say hold off is we have seen this before from other guys. Remember just a couple of years ago after Brandon Jennings first few games everybody was calling him the second coming of Allen Iverson but with a jumpshot. He had that monster 55 point game and the world was going crazy calling him a lock for ROY and an all star. Through his first 13 games he was at 23 points,5.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and shooting 48 percent from three. Needless to say Jennings hasn't lived up to all that hype since then and isn't anything close to Iverson.

Now I will say that I believe Irving will be better than Jennings(Irvings fundamentals and intangables are far better plus i like Irvings way of play better) but the point is people shouldn't jump the gun too soon saying his year is better than Paul and LeBron. Those guys did it for the entire season. I don't want to and others really shouldn't compare 13 games to 78 and 79 games(he is without question a better shooter than both of those guys was at the time though). If he keeps up his level of play I will give him the credit he derserves and if he gets the Cavs in the playoffs he deserves even more love.

Paul's averaged 7.8 assists as a rookie. His numbers as a whole was 16 points, 5 boards, 7.8 assists, 2.2 steals, and a PER of 22.1. Very good numbers. His FG percentage and 3pt percentage was low at 43 and 28 percent.

Re: Who will be the rookie of the year?

i think Shumpert will make it far in the nba , he has good defense , athleticism, and a jumpshot. if he can develop some post moves he'll be a solid player.

hes second behind Chris Paul in steals thats beast.
