I coach JV boys basketball, and I've actually done something similar to that this season. I gave a handful of guys permission to shoot one three pointer (as long as they were wide open) during scrimmages, and if they hit, they're allowed one in the next game (again, as long as they're open). If they choose to shoot that three, and hit it, they're allowed two in the next game. It's made them much more selective with which three they'll take because they want to make sure they hit the shot, so they don't lose that privilege. This makes our offense run a lot smoother, since we focus more on getting looks inside of 15 feet. But, back to the topic..

I considered Tim Hardaway a bit of a chucker, in his day.
That's a interesting tactic, falling in love with the 3 pointer can be a dangerous thing, we can definitely agree on that. Today's Post Players have a huge problem with this.

Kobe is definitely the most known one. Not a Kobe ***** but if he brings the ball up the floor he WILL shoot it or he will pass and immediately call for the ball. Every single time.

Antoine Walker as well.

Re: Worst Chuckers Of All Time.

If you're known as a 3pt Specialist, does that automatically make you a chucker? Only reason I ask is because I see Gallinari's name has been mentioned but I wouldn't necessarily put him in this particular category even though that's what he does best.

I don't consider Galo a 3 point specialist. When I watch the Nuggets, he seems to be the go-to scorer for Denver. He only averages 4 threes attempted per game, and 12 shots attempted per game. And, when I watch him, he'll shoot from anywhere. He's getting better and more selective this season, though, which is why his field goal percentage is much higher this year.

Re: Worst Chuckers Of All Time.

Von Wafer has never met a shot he didn't like. I guess he's supposed to be some sort of spark when he comes in the game.

Some of these guys have no idea how to play the game. They just know how to put the ball in the basket. This is one of the most frustrating things about "professional" basketball.
