I would like to see more off the ball movement, more ball movement in general, and a lot less "I'm going to be MJ and do this on my own" type of play. I loved MJ to death, but in a way it's everyone that has tried to imitate him that has gotten us where we are. Anyway, I could go on about the way the game is played, but that bothers me more than any 'parity'. As others have said, there never really has been parity.
MJ averaged 8 apg for a season... name another SG that has done that?

MJ won playing team ball and used a ton of basic fundamentals.. a couple of game winning shots in the finals winning game was passing the ball off to an open teammate and lastly, Jordan played his last real game in 1998... at this point a poor product on the floor and using Jordan as the reason is just an excuse for what we're seeing

I agree with you...my point is that (almost like MJ's commercial) guys saw the game winning shots, the one on one stuff, and want to be that guy. MJ was the most complete basketball player I've ever seen, period. All world defender, great passer, could rebound, and of course, score. He took pride in ALL areas of the game and realized he had to work on all areas.

Maybe it's ESPN, the media, whatever, but it just seems as if today it's all about the highlight reel. Don't get me wrong, I love watching some of these talented guys, but the way the game is played has become very one dimensional imo.

Egos and Arrogance will prevent that Euro style of play from ever making it's way back to the NBA. Sucks but it's the truth.

Dwayne Wade is the closest that comes to mind at 7.5, what season did Jordan average 8apg though?

EDIT: I see: '88

Don't know how I forgot that...

Just thought about it, Clyde Drexler averaged 8 assists one year too, Reggie Theus avg 9 one year at SG

Are we talking after MJ?

Becuase I know you weren't just going to leave the Big O out like that 23
