Should Laimbeer be in any of the Great 80\'s teams??

If you take his stats from 80-90 it looks like this

11308 points (14 points a game) REG seasons not Playoffs

8737 Rebounds (11.5 rebounds a game)

FG% 50%

FT% 83%

Great numbers from a great player. His play in the 90's was not that great (Decent though) Its a shame that he and Rodman do not get the love in these games. Rodman should have a spot on the great 90's teams. Yet a guy Like Danny Ainge is thrown in NBA2K2 and he does not deserve a spot over these two. (His scoring statistics dont even match Laimbeer's) Laimbeer was a better player than Sickma (Though Sickma scored a little more, but he SHOT a whole lot more as well) Laimbeer had an Awesome outside shot, and it would be nice to have the BAD BOY back in the game. Besides im sure all you Bulls, Lakers, Celtics... Ah hell all of you fans would love to try to dunk on him... Am I right???

Yeah, I would say that Laimbeer should be on the all 80's team.

You know the Portland Trailblazer fans would love to Dunk all over Laimbeer. Over and over again. After he dominated them physically and mentally in the 90's finals. Just go to Portland and mention his name. Its like you put a fire under their arse or something...

Re: Should Laimbeer be in any of the Great 80\'s teams??

First I said 80's greats. Dumars was a very good player (89 Finals MVP) But Laimbeer was a much more important player on the Pistons Roster in the 80's. (4 time all-star)

Dumars Belongs on the Great 90's teams without question.

You have to remember Laimbeer was putting up double doubles EVERY game in the 80's. Without those stats the Pistons would have floundered. The Pistons had Vinny johnson to take some of the scoring pressure off the guards... But how do you replace 12 rebounds and almost 15 points a game from Laimbeer?? Not to mention the screens and outlet passes from him were a large part of the reason Isiah and Dumars got such great scoring looks at the basket.

And lastly dumars was in NBA 2k1 on the dreamcast.....
