Re: 2017 NBA Trade Deadline

As of where the teams stand now after this trade I don't like it. I need to see what other moves the Pelicans make before I call them scary. What good is it to have two great bigs with no shooters surrounding them?

Well NOLA just became a lot more attractive for FAs. Bet a lot of potential FA guards wouldn't mind playing with those 2.

I really believe CP3 is going back to NO. I've been saying that for the last 2 years.

Yeah, he wasn't working as the "franchise player" and now they don't have to commit a "Max" player salary to him, but damn if that isn't a terrible, terrible haul for your "franchise" player and a supposed top 20 talent.

If they can move Gay/McLemore for some frontcourt help, especially at PF, then this trade doesn't look nearly as bad. Without that this looks like another **** move by Divac, the owner continues to be a idiot and the Kings are an absolute doormat franchise.

The Kings went from a roster with too many C's - 4 before Cousins trade - to a roster with way, way too many SG's - 5 (6 if you include Langston Galloway who will likely be waived) - on a roster that lacks any starting quality talent at power foward.

Re: 2017 NBA Trade Deadline

Goes to show that there's always a trade out there to be made. Dell Demps probably just saved his job.

Horrible deal for Sacto but Boogie really drove his value down. Just hard for me to think they couldn't have done better than that, especially if they're going to waive half of the players they're getting back. Evans is a Free agent too so even if they hold onto him, he'll be gone in the offseason.

I feel bad for Langston as he's from New Orleans and signed there just to return home. If Evans and Galloway are waived it'll be interesting to see where they end up. If I'm Washington I'm drooling at this opportunity. I wouldn't mind bringing Gallo2 back to NY but he'd hurt our tanking effort.

Re: 2017 NBA Trade Deadline

Surprised by the lack of interest in Cousins around the league. Sounds like few teams were willing to give up too much in a deal to make one happen. I get his refusal to commit past next year would turn some off, but I still expected more of a bidding war type situation.

Either way what a complete disaster if you're Sacramento. Life as a Kings fan must suck. Time to stop supporting that incompetence with your dollars.
