Exactly this is his own fault now lol. He was in control this time around. Yeah you can use excuse of constant injuries over years. But, never really tried to fill the SF spot they desperately needed.

Butler can be mad now but who's to say if he stayed he doesn't turn around in 2 years and bolt or demand a trade after continuing to be the 7th/8th seed and 1st round out?

The only way the Bulls did him wrong was by not getting enough value for him lol. It's time for them to go in another direction IMO. Though probably the better option would've been to just get rid of them fools in the front office.

I think it's the way there were tons of rumors about him leaving or being traded then the Bulls management told him that he's still a part of their plans. I'd expect management to be a little more forthright with me and let me know one way or another what's going on. Don't leave a guy hanging like that, especially one who's a HUGE fan favorite.

Literally, every player is going to opt out to either re-sign for more money or save the team money. Just because someone opts out don't mean they gone lol.I fully expect CP3 back considering he's on the player union & helped get the deal done for the 40+ million max.

And PG gave Pacers management every reason to believe he was still committed long term, then drops the bomb and goes public with it then basically tries to refuse any trade that doesn't land him in LA lol. Two different situations, yeah, but my point is sports is a business. Players look out for themselves and teams do the same. At this point I can't even get mad at teams not communicating or not being loyal with their players since players basically run the damn league anyway.

No probably about it. Those fools should have been the first to go. I've given them the benefit of the doubt after the Rose injury, but it's been 5 years since Rose went down and it's been nothing but stupid decisions since. They have a trail of bodies behind them that get scapegoated to give them another few years. Paxson has been here running the team since 2002. Gar has been in the organization since '98. Bill Cartwright, Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler, Ben Wallace, Ben Gordon, Scott Skiles, Tyrus Thomas, Vinny Del Negro, Kirk Hinrich, Carlos Boozer, Tom Thibodeau, Luol Deng, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, Jimmy Butler, eventually Fred Hoiberg. It's always somebody they can point the finger to why this team hasn't done anything more than make 1 conference finals in the entire time that John Paxson has been here. Now they're gonna ride this rebuild for at least 4 more seasons of their bull**** and they'll just fire Hoiberg at some point when they're the common denominator here. Extremely frustrating time to be a Bulls fan. The city is livid right now.

If he simply said he was intending to opt out and that's it it'd be a different story. Or if it didn't go public.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Man again, Larry Bird knew what was up and jumped ship. I think there is some politicking going on.
