That’s what I was posting about last night. Looked like Smart deliberately walked up to him and stepped on the jewels. I have no idea how that’s a foul on Trae, I’m sure that gets reviewed by the league.. I know the game is over, but adding a tech/fine to Smart definitely seems just.

Still the best combination of scoring and offensive rebounding in the NBA. For all his short comings, and he has them, there isn’t a player in the league who reads the offensive glass as well as him. I know he’s not a great defender, but lots of players aren’t great defenders, he’s not really a rim-runner which is what most teams need their big to be able to do in today’s NBA, and not a great outside shooter though he can stretch the floor some.. but I’ve still never understood how he’s not a bigger commodity in the league. With starter level minutes (per 36) he’s basically been a 20 and 10+ (closer to 20 and 13 if you take out his rookie year) guy his entire career while being the leagues best offensive rebounder.. there ARE things he does so well, but like you said everyone looks at what he doesn’t.

Ja is legit, Brooks too. Crowder has been such a great glue piece for them this year. They aren’t playing for a pick so I really hope they keep him past the deadline and stay competitive and fun.
