Not surprised in the least. Basketball is just entertainment for folks. Cheering for a player will never eliminate their deepest rooted feelings.

Hope he loses his job but I’m sure he’ll easily get another.

Speaking of Slo Mo, did anyone notice at the 6:11 mark in the 1st quarter, Grizzlies are up 21-8 and Wiggins takes a corner 3 in front of Memphis Bench. Slo Mo goes out of his way to scream at Wiggins as he is shooting. Now I know that the sideline is always yappin and barking and screaming at shooters and that's fine. But this one just seemed odd. Not dirty or anything, just odd almost bizarre. I've never noticed a guy try to distract the shooter so "over the top" as this. You could even hear Slo Mo's scream on the broadcast as Wiggins puts up the shot. Really? I can hear you screaming from the sideline? LOL. My wife noticed it in real time but I blew it off until dude got ejected later on. Then I had to go back and rewatch the "scream" in the 1st quarter. I think he was possibly having a bad night even before tipoff.

but man does he complain to the refs ALOT. Didn’t he say he would work on that?

Not gonna lie it took me clicking on the link and seeing the tweet below explaining that for me to even understand what that meant or realize something over the line or racist was said.. But good lord man .. dude deleted his account, surely will be losing his job. If not, yikes.

Not to defend the guy, I have no idea who he even is, but I do wonder when stuff like this happens if it’s always that persons deepest rooted feelings or them just saying the worst thing they can think of out of anger in the moment. I’ve been guilty of that, not racial related, but saying something to somebody out of anger not necessarily reflecting what I actually thought about them in my deeper feelings just saying what I knew would hurt the most.. just hard for me to fathom that’s what somebody actually feels deep inside.. but damn regardless, such a ****ty thing to say.

I feel like I’m general sports are such a great way to see players, fans, of all different backgrounds sorta coming together in one place.. you hate to see **** like this showing the uglier side of it. No place for that.
