It different from team to team . One game the ai didnt cross what so ever and just tried to skill its way in the box , but then the next team was the total opposite..crosses all day ..even scored on a nice early cross.

Two things make this game next to unplayable for me:

I've played countless games in the many modes available, the cpu doesn't foul' I've be en trough streches of more than 10 games where there's not a free kick or penalty called in my favor, so imagine playing soccer without free kick goal attempts or penalties.. doesn't make a lot of sense.
The lack of licenses for stadiums and teams of the premier league and no bundesliga is the other reason I don't play this game anymore.

I understand and empathize with you on your first point but on the 2nd one, everyone knew this going into it. If that part makes it unplayable than I don't know if you can blame anyone but yourself.

What helps me with video games these days is to remember they're video games.

Even though they look real as hell, they're still games. Nothing is going to exactly mirror real life.

Does it suck there's no fouls? Sure...but to let it ruin your enjoyment is doing yourSELF a disservice.

I literally just played a game with 3 yellows and 8 fouls called. I guess it depends on how you protect the ball. I suppose I'm just lucky I had two free kicks, and would also be frustrated if I didnt have any go my way.
