Week 15 Discussion Thread

49ers - Seahawks kick off the week.

The next 2 weeks will feature Saturday games as there’s 3 this week and then regular slate next Saturday with Christmas falling on a Sunday and only 3 games airing that day.

Should start to see more playoff berths get locked up.

Re: Week 15 Discussion Thread

With a win tonight, the Niners would lock up the NFC West.

Re: Week 15 Discussion Thread

Maybe it’s because of the longer season but it feels like more than one team should have clinched a playoff spot by this time of the year

It's partially the longer season and partially the back loaded division games. They factor so much in tiebreaking.

I don't think it has anything to do with either to be honest. Just good parity which I think we all would agree is good.

EDIT: Actually, I think the backloaded schedule has a lot to do with it, but to clarify, I don't think it's because of the potential tiebreakers. At this point it's still anyone's season so we aren't really waiting for many tiebreakers to play out.

I'll try and copy and paste but here's where we were last year at the same time (same conditions as this year including backloaded division schedules).

Zero clinched playoff spots (but one more eliminated team if I'm not mistaken)
