When the Niners sign Purdy next year they should show him
tape of this game.

This is what happens when the QB makes 60 Million a year.

The only hope for the Jets (and my Giants) is for Woody Johnson & John Mara to have a James Dolan revelation moment, finally hire the right people and leave them alone. Brain-Dead Dolan made the Knicks a dumpster fire for nearly 20 years until Rose & Co., slowly turned things around. They also got lucky finding a hidden gem in Jalen Brunson who blossomed into a star right before our eyes. That's what the NY football teams need.

I can only imagine what TJ Watt & Co. will do to Daniel Jones tonight. Once again, another lost season..(((sigh)))

Score shouldn't have been that close, but win is a win. Lots of weird stuff happening on both sides tonight. Wilson again made me eat crow aside from the fumble, but as long as they keep winning

Highsmith and Watt were amazing tonight. Still would like to see more TDs.

Definitely agree about the score, this game should've been over by halftime, but in typical Steeler fashion, they continue to let teams "hang around".

Going into the bye at 6-2 and in first place is obviously a good situation to be in, BUT with the schedule difficulty ramping up after the bye, we'll see where this team is really at.

I do know one thing though, if they do make it to the playoffs, and expect to advance, this FG crap is not going to cut it, the red zone offense is beyond terrible, teams that they could likely face in the playoffs include KC,Buff as well as the Ravens...each and every one of those teams can and do score TD's and don't settle for FG's the way the Steelers have been.

The defense is also pretty suspect in that a popup was shown during tonights game that Jones was 7/7 inside the numbers, my question is this...why wasn't there a defensive adjustment made to control this?

If there was an adjustment, I didn't notice much of one...and again, come playoff time (if they get there) opposing teams will exploit the living daylights out of that.

Bottom line, I'm happy for the Steelers to be in first going into the bye, but I'm not sold or convinced of anything at this point.

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread

Sounds like Love should be mostly fine, but it's more a day by day thing to get better.

It's gonna be a tricky decision for Sunday.

Do you play him vs the Lions in a game which could very well be the deciding game for the division when its all said and done and risk him getting reinjured. But at the same time, if he tweaks anything again, you hope it's something he can recover from in the bye week the following week.

Or he sits vs Detroit and then gets even more rest with the bye week so he has almost 3 weeks between when he injured his groin and his next start. You are more likely to lose without him playing, but you gotta think the rest of the season and playoffs too.

I'm tempted to sit him and give him 3 full weeks off. The way things are going, Packers could very well finish as the 1st or 2nd WC and even though it would be a road game in the WC, they could still hold the better record between the two teams.
